FOXBORO P0500RY Terminal Cable Assembly

Basic Overview of Components

FOXBORO P0500RY is an integrated industrial grade terminal cable assembly. Its core function is to provide a stable signal transmission channel between the P0500RU control module and distributed I/O nodes, as well as on-site sensors/actuators in the FOXBORO control system. At the same time, standardized component design simplifies on-site wiring and debugging processes. This component is not a single cable, but a complete solution that includes customized cables, gold-plated terminal connectors, anti loosening fasteners, shielded grounding clips, and identification sleeves, specifically designed for FOXBORO I/A Series ® The signal transmission characteristics of the system are optimized and designed with high impedance matching accuracy, which can effectively reduce signal attenuation and electromagnetic interference. Its modular component combination not only meets the short distance wiring requirements inside the cabinet, but also adapts to the medium to long distance signal transmission between on-site equipment and control cabinets, providing full process guarantee for the signal link of the control system.

Core structure and functional characteristics

1. Customized cable body: Balancing low loss and strong shielding

The core cable of the component adopts multi stranded oxygen free copper conductors, with wire diameters optimized to 0.6mm (signal core) and 1.0mm (power core) according to the transmission signal type, which not only improves the tensile strength of the cable, but also reduces high-frequency signal transmission losses by reducing skin effect. The insulation layer is made of high temperature resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) material, with a temperature resistance level of 125 ℃. Combined with an outer flame-retardant polyolefin (PO) sheath, it achieves excellent oil and chemical corrosion resistance, and can withstand common oil stains, acid and alkali steam erosion in industrial sites. The shielding structure adopts a dual shielding design of "tin plated copper mesh+aluminum-plastic composite tape", with a copper mesh coverage rate of ≥ 95% and an aluminum-plastic composite tape overlap rate of ≥ 25%, which can effectively suppress common mode and differential mode interference and ensure the pure transmission of signals in strong electromagnetic environments.

2. Dedicated terminal connector: high reliability connection guarantee

The component is equipped with FOXBORO customized crimping terminal connectors, which are divided into two types: signal type (RJ45/BNC) and power type (terminal block). Both use gold-plated contact design with a contact resistance of ≤ 3m Ω, effectively avoiding signal attenuation or power drop caused by poor contact. The joint housing is made of reinforced nylon material, with an IP67 protection level, built-in waterproof sealing ring and dust cover, and can be directly applied to damp and dusty on-site environments. Based on the interface characteristics of the P0500RU control module, the pin definitions of the connectors are perfectly matched with the module interface, allowing for "plug and play" without the need for additional adapters, significantly reducing on-site debugging time.

3. Integrated accessories: Strengthen installation stability

The P0500RY component includes a complete set of installation accessories, including stainless steel anti loosening fasteners and nylon anti loosening washers, which can effectively prevent joint loosening caused by industrial site vibration; The shielding grounding clip is designed with low impedance to reliably connect the cable shielding layer to the cabinet grounding system, with a grounding resistance of ≤ 1 Ω, further enhancing its anti-interference ability; The identification sleeve is made of heat-resistant polytetrafluoroethylene material, which can clearly indicate the purpose of the cable and the corresponding node number for easy identification during later operation and maintenance. The integrated design of these accessories solves the problems of chaotic accessory matching and low installation efficiency in traditional cable wiring.

4. Wide range environmental adaptability: adapted to meet the needs of multiple scenarios

The components have undergone rigorous environmental adaptability testing, and the cable body and joints can operate stably within a wide temperature range of -40 ℃ to 105 ℃, fully adapting to extreme environments such as harsh outdoor conditions in the north and high-temperature metallurgical workshops. The sheath material meets the UL94 V-0 flame retardant standard and can quickly self extinguish in fire scenarios to prevent the spread of fire; Simultaneously possessing excellent UV resistance, the service life can reach over 8 years when used outdoors without frequent replacement.

5. System level compatibility: Accurately match FOXBORO devices

The components are tailor-made for the FOXBORO system, and the cable impedance is optimized to 100 Ω± 5% (differential signal transmission) based on the communication characteristics of the P0500RU control module, perfectly matching the module interface impedance and effectively reducing signal reflection interference. Whether connecting the P0500RU control module to the P0400ZG node bus module, or connecting the FBM series I/O module to the field sensor, no additional impedance matching device is required, and a stable signal transmission link can be directly constructed to improve system integration reliability.
