Working principle

This coil works based on the principle of electromagnetic induction and is the core driving component of the contactor. When the coil is connected to a rated power supply of 480V 60Hz, an alternating magnetic field is generated in the high-purity copper wire winding, which acts on the iron core inside the contactor, causing the iron core to generate electromagnetic attraction. Under the action of electromagnetic attraction, the moving and stationary contacts of the contactor close, thereby achieving the conduction of the controlled circuit; When the coil is powered off, the magnetic field disappears and the iron core loses its suction force. Under the reset action of the spring inside the contactor, the dynamic and static contacts separate, and the controlled circuit is disconnected. The entire process precisely controls the on/off of the contactor contacts through the on/off of the coil, thereby achieving power supply and power-off control for high-power loads (such as industrial motors, high-voltage equipment, etc.), which is a key link in signal execution in industrial automation control systems.


Precautions

Voltage frequency matching: It is necessary to confirm that the power grid frequency of the usage scenario is 60Hz. If used in a 50Hz power grid environment, the coil model corresponding to the frequency needs to be replaced, otherwise it may cause abnormal coil performance or even burnout.

Load compatibility: The rated current of the driven contactor shall not exceed 800A to avoid excessive coil current caused by load overload, which may lead to coil burnout or equipment failure.

Environmental adaptation treatment: When used in damp and high concentration of corrosive gases, additional waterproof and anti-corrosion junction boxes need to be installed to further enhance protection capabilities and prevent the coil insulation layer from being corroded and damaged.
