It is mainly used for monitoring, converting and controlling the voltage in the electrical system, which is an important component to ensure the stable operation of the power system and the safe operation of the electrical equipment.

Technical Parameters

Input voltage range

The voltage module usually has a specific input voltage range, for example, it may be from a few tens of volts to a few hundred volts, depending on what it is designed for. For example, it may be able to accept input voltages from 100V - 480V AC (alternating current) to suit different voltage levels of industrial grids or equipment supply voltages.

Output Signal Characteristics

Output type: Analogue signals (e.g. 0 - 10V DC, 4 - 20mA, etc.) or digital signals (e.g. high and low level signals) can be output to communicate with other control devices (e.g. PLCs, meters, etc.). For example, when outputting 0 - 10V DC signal, the voltage value is proportional to the input voltage, and the size of the input voltage can be obtained indirectly by measuring the output signal.

Output accuracy: The output accuracy is generally between ±1% and ±5%. The high accuracy of the output ensures that the state of the input voltage is accurately reflected, providing reliable data for subsequent control and monitoring.

Rated Frequency Range

For AC input voltage, there will be a rated frequency range to match, commonly 50Hz - 60Hz, in this frequency range, the voltage module can work properly, accurate voltage monitoring and signal conversion.

Insulation Performance

With good insulation resistance and voltage resistance, the insulation resistance may be as high as several megohms, and the voltage resistance can reach several thousand volts. This effectively prevents leakage and breakdown between the module's internal and external circuits, ensuring safety and reliability in high voltage environments.

Functional Features

Voltage monitoring function

It is able to monitor the magnitude and change of the input voltage in real time. When the voltage is out of the preset normal range (e.g. too high or too low), it can send an alarm to the control system or trigger the protection device through the output signal. For example, in an industrial automation system, if the grid voltage is too high and may damage the equipment, the voltage module monitors the high voltage and sends a signal to the PLC, which then controls the corresponding protection devices (such as voltage regulators or circuit breakers) to protect the system.

Signal conversion function

Input voltage signals can be converted to other types of signals to meet the interface requirements of different devices. For example, high voltage AC signals can be converted to standard 0 - 10V DC analogue signals, which can be easily connected to analogue input controllers or instruments for data acquisition and processing. This signal conversion function enhances system compatibility and integration, enabling devices with different voltage levels and signal types to work together.

Control Interface Function

A control interface is provided for use with other control elements (e.g. relays, contactors, etc.) to realise voltage-related control logic. For example, when the voltage is lower than the set value, the control interface enables the relay to operate, turn on the backup power or start the booster device to maintain the normal supply voltage of the system.

Anti-interference capability

Designed with a certain degree of anti-interference ability, able to work stably in industrial environments with strong electromagnetic interference. For example, in places where large motors, frequency converters and other equipment generate electromagnetic interference, it can effectively filter interference signals, accurately monitor and convert voltage signals to ensure the normal operation of the system.

Industrial automation field

In automated production lines, machine tools, injection moulding machines and other equipment, it is used to monitor the power supply voltage of the equipment to ensure that the equipment operates under a stable voltage. At the same time, it can also be used to integrate with the automation control system to achieve automatic processing of voltage abnormalities and improve production efficiency and equipment reliability.

Power system field

In power facilities such as substations and distribution rooms, it is used as an important tool for voltage monitoring and signal processing. It can convert high voltage grid signals into signals suitable for processing by instruments and control systems for monitoring and protection of the grid. For example, cooperating with relay protection device, when the voltage has abnormal fluctuation, it can cut off the faulty line in time to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power system.

Intelligent Building Field

In the electrical system of a building, it is used to monitor the supply voltage of the lighting system, air-conditioning system, lift system and other equipment.
