ABB NKTT01-2 Infi-Net Termination Cable
Basic Characteristics
Physical Characteristics: Usually short in length, generally around 2 feet, black or grey in appearance, the outer jacket is made of wear-resistant materials such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which is flexible and wear-resistant, and is easy to be installed and used for a long time in the industrial site, and the cables are usually printed with clear identification of model number, specification, brand, and so on.
Electrical Characteristics: The rated voltage is generally about 300V, which can transmit signals stably under normal working voltage. With high signal transmission rate, it can quickly and accurately transmit digital and analogue signals in Infi-Net network to meet the real-time requirements of industrial automation system. Within the specified transmission distance, the degree of signal attenuation is low, which can ensure the integrity of the signal and reduce the problems of signal distortion or BER caused by signal attenuation.
Mechanical properties: with a certain degree of tensile strength, can withstand a certain degree of external pull and will not be easily damaged, to ensure the stability of the connection in the process of installation and use. Soft and easy to bend, convenient in different installation environments for wiring and connection, can be adapted to a variety of complex industrial site layout.
Functions and roles
Signal transmission: The main function is to accurately and stably transmit signals, including digital input and output signals, analogue input and output signals, etc., in the Infi-Net network of ABB Bailey Infi 90 system, to achieve information interaction between field devices and the control system.
System Connection and Stability: It is used to connect specific ABB modules to ensure reliable connection between devices in the Infi-Net network, which contributes to the integration and stable operation of the whole system, and improves the system's automation control level and production efficiency.
Application areas
Industrial automation production lines: such as automotive manufacturing, machining, food and beverage industries, Infi-Net interfaces and terminal units used to connect automation control equipment, to achieve precise control and monitoring of the production process.
Power system: Infi-Net interfaces and terminal units are used to connect the monitoring system of generator sets and the automated protection system of substations in power plants and substations to achieve remote monitoring and automation control of power equipment.
Chemical and petrochemical industry: In the chemical production process, Infi-Net interfaces of various types of sensors and actuators can be connected to the terminal units of the control system, such as temperature sensors, pressure sensors, regulating valves, etc., to achieve precise control and safety monitoring of the chemical production process.
