ABB ci855 Communication Interface Module
Basic Functions
This module is mainly used to realise the communication between the AC 800M controller and other devices (e.g. PLCs, HMIs, inverters, etc.). It is able to connect to the CEX bus through the base board and achieve network redundancy through the RJ45 connectors of the two Ethernet ports on the base board TP853, and provides a simple DIN-rail mounting method.
PROFIBUS DP communication interface
The CI855 module provides an interface to PROFIBUS DP slave devices, enabling the AC 800M control system to communicate with devices on the PROFIBUS network (e.g. I/O modules, inverters, valves, sensors, etc.).
