BENTLY 330704-000-050-10-02-05 Proximity Sensor

BENTLY 330704-000-050-10-02-05 Proximity Sensor

Overview

The BENTLY 330704-000-050-10-02-05 is a proximity sensor manufactured by BENTLY Nevada and is part of the 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Probe Series.

Specifications

Physical Characteristics: Probe has an overall length of 50mm, an overall length of 1.0 metre, a typical diameter of 41mm, a typical height of 102mm and a weight of approximately 480g.

Probe Material: The probe tip is made of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), the probe housing is made of AISI 304 stainless steel, and the sealing material is fluorine rubber (Viton®) O-ring.

Electrical Characteristics: Sensitivity 20 mv/mm/s (500 mv/in/s) ±5%, frequency response from low operating frequency to 1kHz, 50g peak acceleration, lateral sensitivity ±10%.

Environmental constraints: Operating and storage temperature range of -29°C to +21°C, 95% non-condensing relative humidity, dust and moisture proof.

Product Features

Highly accurate measurement: It can accurately detect the proximity of the target object and measure small displacement changes, providing accurate data support for the condition monitoring of industrial equipment and helping to detect potential faults in a timely manner.

High Reliability: Adopting high quality materials and advanced manufacturing process to ensure stable and reliable operation even in harsh industrial environments, reducing equipment downtime due to sensor failure.

Easy to install and use: Equipped with standard cables and miniature coaxial Click Loc™ connectors, it is easy to connect and install with other equipments, which reduces the installation cost and difficulty.

Compatibility: Compatible with other BENTLY Nevada monitoring equipment and systems, such as the 3500 series monitors, for an integrated, all-in-one monitoring system.

Application Areas

Rotating machinery monitoring: commonly used to monitor shaft vibration and shaft displacement of turbines, generators, compressors and other rotating machinery, through real-time monitoring of shaft movement status, timely detection of imbalance, misalignment, bearing wear and other issues to ensure the safe and stable operation of rotating machinery.

Industrial automated production line: In the automated production line, it can be used to detect the position of materials, the presence or absence of objects on the conveyor belt, etc., to provide accurate position information for the automated control system, and to achieve precise control and automated operation of the production process.

Automotive manufacturing: in the production process of automotive engines, transmissions and other components, can be used to monitor the assembly position and clearance of parts to ensure product quality and performance consistency.

Aerospace: It plays an important role in the monitoring of aircraft engines, landing gear and other key components to ensure the reliability and safety of aerospace equipment.

Product Features

High accuracy: the sensor has a high-precision measurement capability and can accurately reflect the displacement of the shaft or target surface.

High sensitivity: In a specific frequency and displacement range, the sensor shows high sensitivity and can respond quickly to changes in the measurement object.

Non-contact measurement: Adopting the eddy current convergence measurement principle to realise non-contact measurement, avoiding the wear and error that may be brought by traditional contact measurement.

Reliability: The internal structure of the sensor is optimised for excellent stability and durability, enabling it to work for a long time in harsh industrial environments.

Technical Parameters

Model: 330704-000-050-10-02-05

Sensitivity: at a specific frequency (e.g. 100Hz), with a specific sensitivity value (e.g. 20mV/mm/s or 500mV/in/s), and allows a certain error range (±5%).

Frequency Response: The sensor maintains stable performance from small operating frequencies to higher frequency ranges (e.g. 1kHz or 10kHz).

Lead length: Sensors have long leads for easy connection to preamplifiers or other monitoring equipment.

Use and storage temperature: the sensor has a wide use and storage temperature range, can adapt to different working environments.

Principle of operation

BENTLY 330704-000-050-10-02-05 sensor adopts eddy current convergence measurement principle. When the coil on the top of the probe is coupled with a high-frequency current and brought into close proximity with a conductive surface, eddy currents are generated on the surface of the conductive object due to the action of the coil's magnetic lines of force, which reduces the inductance of the coil. This change in coil characteristics is converted to a DC voltage signal output, which enables the measurement of displacement or vibration.

Applications

The sensor is widely used in various industrial fields, especially where vibration and displacement of large rotating machinery (such as steam turbines, hydraulic turbines, fans, compressors, etc.) need to be monitored. It can provide important data support for equipment condition monitoring, fault early warning and maintenance, which helps to reduce equipment failure and improve production efficiency.

Installation and Maintenance

Installation: The sensor should be installed in the machine can accurately reflect the displacement or vibration of the position. In the installation process, should ensure that the sensor's electrical connections are correct and reliable, and avoid exposure to extreme temperatures or humidity.

Maintenance: Sensors should be maintained and calibrated regularly to ensure their measurement accuracy and reliability. During maintenance, care should be taken to check that the leads, connectors and internal structure of the sensor are in good condition and should be replaced or repaired if damaged.
