Overview

The BENTLY 330704-000-050-10-02-05 is a proximity sensor manufactured by BENTLY Nevada and is part of the 3300 XL 11 mm Proximity Probe Series.

Principle of operation

BENTLY 330704-000-050-10-02-05 sensor adopts eddy current convergence measurement principle. When the coil on the top of the probe is coupled with a high-frequency current and brought into close proximity with a conductive surface, eddy currents are generated on the surface of the conductive object due to the action of the coil's magnetic lines of force, which reduces the inductance of the coil. This change in coil characteristics is converted to a DC voltage signal output, which enables the measurement of displacement or vibration.

Applications

The sensor is widely used in various industrial fields, especially where vibration and displacement of large rotating machinery (such as steam turbines, hydraulic turbines, fans, compressors, etc.) need to be monitored.
