Core functions and roles

1. High speed Ethernet data transmission

This module supports 10Mbps/100Mbps adaptive Ethernet rates and adopts full duplex communication mode, with a maximum data transmission rate of 100Mbps. It can quickly transmit on-site device operation data (such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, etc.) collected by the D20 controller and control instructions issued by the upper system. Its built-in traffic control mechanism can effectively avoid data congestion and ensure stable communication performance even under high load conditions.

2. Multi protocol compatibility and interconnection

The EME210BASE-T module has strong protocol compatibility capabilities, supporting GE's proprietary Genius protocol and SRTP protocol to ensure seamless communication with various components within the D20 system; On the other hand, it is compatible with industrial standard communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP and EtherNet/IP, enabling interconnectivity with third-party PLCs, SCADA systems, HMI human-machine interfaces, and other intelligent devices, breaking down communication barriers between different systems.

3. System communication management and routing

The module has built-in simple routing function, which can realize data forwarding between different network segments. It supports the classification and transmission of device data of D20 controller according to priority, ensuring the priority transmission right of key control signals. At the same time, the module has communication status monitoring function, which can real-time calculate parameters such as data transmission volume, packet loss rate, and communication link status, providing data support for operation and maintenance personnel to grasp the system communication status.

4. Network security and fault protection

In response to industrial network security requirements, the module supports basic security functions such as IP address filtering and port access control, which can restrict illegal devices from accessing the network and prevent data from being illegally stolen or tampered with. In addition, the module has link fault detection and automatic recovery functions. When the Ethernet link is interrupted, it will immediately trigger an alarm signal and attempt to reconnect automatically. At the same time, the fault information will be uploaded to the D20 controller for quick troubleshooting.

5. Flexible configuration and remote management

The module supports two configuration methods: local parameter configuration through D20 system programming software (such as IP address, communication protocol, port settings, etc.); Remote parameter modification, firmware upgrade, and fault diagnosis can be achieved through Ethernet, without the need for on-site operation, greatly improving operation and maintenance efficiency. The configuration parameters can be saved locally to avoid parameter loss caused by module restart.
