The DS3800HBIC is made up of 26 integrated circuits that store a variety of minor electrical components like diodes, capacitors, and resistors.
On the board, there are 12 transistors labeled with the reference designator Q, ranging from Q4 to Q15. Three more transistors are also recognized by the reference designator Q from Q1 to Q3, for a total of 15. A connector port on one end of the DS3800NBIC allows it to be expanded with additional boards or components. A range of capacitors in various forms and sizes are also included on the DS3800NB1C. Several resistance networks are included on the card.
Each resistance network has a collection of resistors. By summing the resistances of each individual resistor inside, the overall resistance of the resistance network may be determined. Aside from the resistance networks, the board contains additional resistors. The resistance levels of each device are represented by bands of varying colors on each resistor. Diodes in black and blue colors are also seen on the board . A series of blue jumper pins are located on the board.
Two pins can be connected with these jumpers, allowing for board adjustments. On one side of the board, there are 24 test points lined together. The DS3800NBIC will be tested using these test points to ensure that there are no issues with the part. A light-emitting diode, or LED, is also included in the board.
