The Mark IV system was designed to meet all of the needs for turbine control as well as ancillary duties. The Speedtronic Mark IV takes advantage of cutting-edge technologies at the time. This comprises triple redundancy on important control and protection parameters, as well as control and protection sensors that are triple redundant. The three control processors are responsible for distributing the sensors.
