GE DS3820PSLA1A Power Supply Module
GE DS3820PSLA1A Power Supply Module
Part Number DS3820PSLA1A Manufacturer General Electric Country of Manufacture As Per GE Manufacturing Policy Series Mark VI/VIe Function Module Availability In StockDS3820PSLA1A is a Power Supply Module developed by General Electric under the Speedtronic series of components. The Power Supply Module transforms alternating (AC) power into usable DC (direct current) power, allowing the system to function effectively. The power supply can also condition outputs to eliminate noise and spikes, as well as give protection to downstream components via fuses and other components. An external metal case protects the internal circuit boards and components of the module. The case has a right-hand arm and is designed as a vertical casing.
The top of this case is open to allow internal components to cool. Smaller apertures in the case allow cables to pass between internal and external components. One side of the component features an externally placed circuit board. Two lines of four female connectors are used to populate this board. It also features a transformer and two potentiometers. Two terminal strips and an on/off switch are populated on the board's external face, which is 90 degrees from the board. Connectors, transformers, potentiometers, diodes, resistors, transistors, capacitors, and heat sinks are installed on internal boards in the board. Several other components are not mounted to the board surfaces inside.
DS3820PSLA is a power supply module under the mark IV series developed by General Electric. Power supplies convert incoming alternating current (AC) power into usable direct current (DC) power, allowing the system to be properly powered. It is also intended to condition the output so that it is free of problems such as spikes and noise, as well as to protect other components. WOC offers the DS3820PSLA as a reconditioned unit that has been thoroughly tested by our in-house technicians.
The DS3820PSLA is housed in a large metal casing with a vertical tower and an extending arm. The card has a wide flat metal base that provides a solid, secure foundation for all of the unit's other components. The unit includes external circuit boards with female connectors as well as several external terminal strips for connecting wired connections.
A double pole on/off switch is located near the terminal strips on the unit. There are several internal boards in the power supply as well. Transformers, integrated circuits, fuses, diodes, resistors, and capacitors are used to populate these. There are also several potentiometers on the unit.
Surface wiring with various types of ends connects various parts of the power supply. GE publications such as data sheets and user guides can provide a more detailed description of the board. Because this is a high-voltage component with significant hazards, please review all safety and handling procedures before unboxing your part and starting your installation.
