Product Overview
The GE IC693ALG223D analogue input module is designed for industrial automation control systems to receive analogue signals from sensors and convert them to digital signals for processing by PLCs (programmable logic controllers) or other controllers. The module features high accuracy, high reliability and easy integration, and is suitable for a variety of industrial automation applications.

Number of channels:
Provides 16 independent and single-ended channels for receiving analogue signals.
Signal ranges:
Each channel can be configured for any of the following three ranges: 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 20 mA, or 4 to 20 mA enhanced.
Alarm Functions:
Each range has a high and low alarm function.
In the Enhanced range, a low alarm limit can be set to detect the input current in 4 to 20 mA applications by bright wire fault detection.
The user can also set high alarm alarms.
Status Reporting:
The module can report status information such as the power status of the CPU.
Power Demand:
Draws 120 mA of current from the 5 VCD bus on the controller backplane.
Requires a 65 mA+ current loop from a user-supplied +24 VDC power supply.
Update Rate:
Standard update rate is 6 ms.
Isolation:
Provides 250 VAC continuous or 1500 VAC one minute isolation.
Scanning Method:
Scanning is done sequentially when scanning the active channel.
Calibration:
Analogue values are adjusted over the full range of the converter and factory calibration adjusts the analogue values for each bit.
Application Features
Compatibility:
Can be used in any I/O slot in an RX3i or 90-30 series system that provides a serial connector.
Firmware Upgrade:
Firmware upgrades associated with this module are supported for the RX3i rack, but not the 90-30 rack.
Troubleshooting:
Equipped with LED status lights that can be turned on and off to assist the user in troubleshooting and operation.
