The isolation of these points is crucial in preventing interference and ensuring accurate voltage readings. The board is controlled by the VCCC, which is responsible for regulating and managing the voltage and current levels in the system. The integration with the VCCC board ensures seamless coordination and precise control over the voltage detection process. FEATURES The TICI support both simplex and TMR (Triple Modular Redundancy) applications. In simplex mode, the component operates independently, providing accurate voltage detection for straightforward systems. 

On the other hand, the TMR mode employs a redundant and fault-tolerant approach, with three separate modules working in parallel to enhance system reliability. This redundancy ensures continued operation even if one module were to experience a failure. To facilitate convenient installation and connection, the TICI board is equipped with cables featuring molded plugs. These plugs are specifically designed to connect to the VME (VersaModule Eurocard) rack, where a series of Input/Output (I/O) boards are mounted. The VME architecture is commonly used in industrial and embedded systems due to its compact design and standardized interconnects, making it easy to integrate the board with other components. 

 INSTALLATION Wiring: To establish the wiring connections for the 24 isolated digital inputs, follow these steps: Take the wires for the 24 isolated digital inputs and connect them directly to two I/O terminal blocks present on the terminal board. These terminal blocks are designed to securely hold the wires in place and can be easily unplugged from the board when maintenance is required. This feature allows for convenient access and troubleshooting of the digital inputs. Each I/O terminal block consists of 24 terminals, providing ample space to accommodate wires with a gauge size of up to #12 AWG (American Wire Gauge). This ensures compatibility with a wide range of wire sizes, offering flexibility in the wiring process. 

Adjacent to each of the I/O terminal blocks, there is a shield terminal strip that is attached to the chassis ground. This grounding connection helps in shielding the digital inputs from external electromagnetic interference, reducing the risk of signal distortions and ensuring accurate readings. Cabling Connections: Depending on the type of system (simplex or TMR) and the level of redundancy (Mark VI or Mark VIe), the cabling connections will vary: Simplex System: In a simplex system configuration, you will need to connect the TICI terminal board to the I/O processor using a connector labeled "JR1." This connector facilitates the communication between the TICI board and the I/O processor, enabling data transfer and control signals. TMR System: In a TMR system configuration, the redundancy level increases, and you will have to connect the TICI terminal board to multiple I/O processors. 

This connection is achieved using connectors labeled JR1, JS1, and JT1. Cables or I/O Packs: The specific type of cables or I/O packs used for the connection will depend on the type of Mark VI or Mark VIe system being utilized, as well as the level of redundancy required for the application. For simplex and lower levels of redundancy, standard cables may suffice, offering a straightforward connection between the TICI board and the I/O processor(s). In cases where higher levels of redundancy are desired, specialized I/O packs may be used to enhance system reliability and fault tolerance. These I/O packs typically have redundant components that work in parallel to ensure continued operation even if one component fails.
