GE IS230TNEAH2A Emergency Trip Module

GE IS230TNEAH2A Emergency Trip Module

Part Number IS230TNEAH2A Manufacturer General Electric Country of Manufacture As Per GE Manufacturing Policy Series Mark VI/VIe Function Module Availability In StockIS230TNEAH2A is an Emergency Trip Module manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark VIe Series used in GE Distributed Control Systems. The secure plug-in connection to the header on the board ensures reliable data transmission and precise control. With its ability to handle 12 AWG wires, the module offers the necessary flexibility to integrate seamlessly into a wide range of industrial applications, enhancing safety and protection measures.

To maintain the highest level of system integrity and reliability, the module undergoes comprehensive testing and validation, ensuring that it meets or exceeds performance and safety requirements. This rigorous testing guarantees that the module can effectively respond to emergencies and operate flawlessly under various conditions. INSTALLATION: In the Emergency Trip DIN-Rail Module, the crucial components, such as voltage detection and the breaker relay, are skillfully wired to the I/O box terminals located at the top of the board. These I/O box terminals serve as essential connection points for handling input and output signals, ensuring seamless integration with other system components.

By wiring voltage detection and the breaker relay to the top terminals, the module can accurately monitor the electrical voltage levels and promptly respond to critical events or predefined trip conditions. This proactive approach allows the module to take decisive action and initiate an emergency shutdown when necessary, safeguarding equipment and personnel from potential harm or damage. On the other hand, the lower terminals of the I/O box are dedicated to passive pulse rate pick-ups. These pick-ups are responsible for measuring and detecting pulse rates from various mechanical or electrical devices within the system. By connecting these pulse rate pick-ups to the lower terminals, the module can acquire precise data and perform real-time monitoring of important parameters critical to the system's operation. To ensure a secure and reliable connection, all terminals on the I/O box are designed to plug into a header on the board. This header serves as an interface point that securely holds the terminals in place, preventing any accidental disconnections or disruptions during operation. The robust and stable connection provided by the header guarantees the integrity of data transmission and the accuracy of the module's response to critical events.

The terminals on the I/O box are engineered to accept up to a single 12 AWG wire. This wire-handling capability allows for flexible integration of various devices and sensors within the system. The capacity to handle #12 AWG wires ensures that the module can support higher current-carrying capacities, making it suitable for applications with higher power requirements. FEATURES: It incorporates advanced technology, including surface mount technology (SMT), which ensures high performance and reliability in industrial applications. This cutting-edge SMT technology allows for precise placement of electronic components on the circuit board, resulting in compact designs and efficient use of space. One of the essential functions of the module is monitoring the pulse rate generated by the MPU (Machine Protection Unit). The MPU pulse rate range spans from 2 Hz to an impressive 20 kHz, covering a broad spectrum of potential pulse rates in industrial machinery and equipment. This wide range enables the module to effectively handle various applications with diverse operational speeds. The MPU pulse rate accuracy is a remarkable 0.05% of the reading.

This exceptional level of accuracy ensures that the module provides precise and reliable monitoring of pulse rates, allowing for precise detection of deviations or anomalies in machinery performance. The MPU input circuit sensitivity is 27 mV peak, enabling the module to detect pulse rates as low as 2 revolutions per minute (rpm). This high sensitivity is crucial for accurately capturing slow rotational speeds, ensuring that the module can effectively monitor critical machinery operating at low speeds. In terms of physical dimensions, the module measures 33.0 cm in height and 17.8 cm in width (approximately 13 inches by 7 inches). Its compact and standardized DIN-Rail form factor allows for easy installation and integration within control cabinets or enclosures, optimizing space utilization and promoting ease of maintenance.

The integration of surface mount technology in the module ensures a robust and reliable design, capable of withstanding harsh industrial environments. The precise assembly of components through SMT minimizes the risk of loose connections and increases resistance to shock and vibration.
