ABB NCOM04 Advanced Controller Module

Functional Features

Modular Expansion: Allows flexible addition of I/O points to the control system, which is convenient for expanding the system scale according to the actual needs and meeting the requirements for the number of input and output interfaces in different application scenarios.

Signal Conditioning: Filtering and amplification of analog input signals can effectively remove noise interference in the signals and improve the quality and accuracy of the signals, thus realizing accurate measurement.

Electrical isolation: electrical isolation of the field signals can effectively prevent the influence of noise and interference on the system, improve the stability and reliability of the system, and ensure that the system operates stably in complex industrial environments.

Diagnostic Function: Provides status information and fault detection function, which can monitor the working status of the module itself as well as the equipment and lines connected to it in real time, detect faults in time and send out alarms, facilitate rapid localization and troubleshooting, and reduce downtime.

Remote Configuration: It can be managed by Infi 90 or Net 90 system software, which is convenient for engineers to set parameters, configure functions and monitor the module from the control center far away from the site, which improves the maintainability and management efficiency of the system.

Usage Scenario

Industrial automation production line: such as automobile manufacturing, food processing, chemical industry, etc., used to realize accurate control and monitoring of temperature, pressure, flow, liquid level and other parameters in the production process, to ensure the stability of the production process and the consistency of product quality.

Energy management system: In power plants, substations, energy distribution centers and other places, it is used to monitor and control the production, transmission and distribution of energy to achieve optimal scheduling of energy and energy saving and emission reduction.

Intelligent Building Automation System: In the automated management of buildings, it can be used to control the air conditioning system, lighting system, water supply and drainage system and other equipment, realizing intelligent regulation of the environment in the building and efficient use of energy.

The AC 800F is available in two versions:  

• 4 MB static RAM, 4 MB EPROM  

• 16 MB synchronous dynamic RAM,   8 MB EPROM

The AC 800F optionally provides several levels  of redundancy: 

• device redundancy with 2 AC 800F  

• power supply redundancy (24 V DC)  

• Ethernet communication redundancy   (standard)  

• Cable redundancy for Profibus DP,   requires external equipment (RLM01)

AC 800F Controller Redundancy

Controller redundancy can be achieved by installing two  AC 800F. To ensure quick and smooth takeover by the secondary AC 800F in case the primary AC 800F fails, a dedicated  redundancy communications link through the second Ethernet  module makes sure that both AC 800F are always synchronized. All inputs and outputs are designed to support redundant  operation.
