Functional Features
Installation and accommodation function: It is mainly used for installing terminal units in 19-inch rack-mounted cabinets, providing a stable and standardized installation platform for terminal units, and can accommodate two termination units, which facilitates the formation and expansion of the system, and makes the layout of the equipment in the cabinet more neat and orderly.
Signal transmission and connection function: as the connection hub between field equipment and control system, it can ensure stable signal transmission. It provides reliable physical connection paths for various signals, including analog signals, digital signals, etc., which reduces the possibility of signal interference and attenuation and ensures the normal operation of the system.
Technical Parameters
Size and weight: the size is usually 34cm in length, 12cm in width, 20cm in height, and the weight is about 0.68kg, its compact size and light weight are convenient for installation and layout adjustment in the cabinet.
Material and protection grade: made of high quality engineering plastics or metal materials, with good mechanical strength and corrosion resistance, usually the protection grade can reach IP20 and above, which can effectively prevent the intrusion of dust and foreign objects and adapt to the harsh environment of the industrial site.

Supported ABB I/O Systems and Families
• S800 I/O, a distributed modular I/O system for communication via ModuleBus and PROFIBUS DP.
• S900 I/O, a remote I/O system (for hazardous areas) that can be connected to PLCs via PROFIBUS DP.
• S200 I/O and S200L I/O, two compatible, modular I/O systems. S200 I/O modules can be connected via CI856 or PROFIBUS DP to PLCs. • S100 I/O, a rack-based I/O system that can be connected to PLC using the CI856 interface module.
• Satt I/O, makes it possible to use Satt Rack I/O (an older Satt I/O system) connected to PLC using the CI865 communication interface.
