Basic Information

Appearance and size: usually black or gray round cable, the outer jacket material has good flexibility, abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance, length of 15 feet, about 4.57 meters, wire diameter according to the actual application of the current carrying capacity and signal transmission requirements for design.

Electrical Performance

Rated voltage: generally between 24V DC and 48V DC to meet the power supply requirements of different devices in industrial control systems.

Rated current: according to specific application scenarios and load requirements, the rated current is usually between 1A and 3A, which can provide stable power transmission for the connected equipment.

Signal Transmission Rate: Supports high speed signal transmission, the transmission rate can be up to several Mbps or even higher, ensuring fast and accurate transmission of various control signals and data in the system.

Transmission Characteristics

Signal type: digital and analog signals can be transmitted. Digital signals are used for transmitting the switching status and control instructions of the equipment, while analog signals are used for transmitting continuously changing physical quantity signals such as temperature, pressure and flow rate.

Transmission distance: under the premise of ensuring the quality of the signal, the transmission distance can generally be up to a few tens of meters, the specific transmission distance depends on the quality of the cable, the type and strength of the transmitted signal and the electromagnetic interference of the surrounding environment.

The AC 800F is available in two versions:  

• 4 MB static RAM, 4 MB EPROM  

• 16 MB synchronous dynamic RAM,   8 MB EPROM

The AC 800F optionally provides several levels  of redundancy: 

• device redundancy with 2 AC 800F  

• power supply redundancy (24 V DC)  

• Ethernet communication redundancy   (standard)  

• Cable redundancy for Profibus DP,   requires external equipment (RLM01)

AC 800F Controller Redundancy

Controller redundancy can be achieved by installing two  AC 800F. To ensure quick and smooth takeover by the secondary AC 800F in case the primary AC 800F fails, a dedicated  redundancy communications link through the second Ethernet  module makes sure that both AC 800F are always synchronized. All inputs and outputs are designed to support redundant  operation.
