Basic Introduction

The ABB NKTU11 - 17 I/O Module to Termination Unit Cable is a cable used to connect an I/O module to a termination unit. In ABB's industrial automation systems, this cable plays a vital role in ensuring that signals are transmitted accurately and reliably between different equipment units.

Technical data

In industrial automation systems, various types of signals need to be transmitted between I/O modules and terminal units, including analogue signals collected by sensors (e.g. temperature, pressure, flow, etc.) and digital signals from control devices (e.g. start/stop signals of devices). This cable ensures the accuracy of these signals during transmission and reduces signal attenuation and distortion.

For example, in the chemical production process, it can be used to monitor the reactor temperature, pressure, liquid level of the I/O module and installed in the reactor temperature sensors, pressure sensors, liquid level sensors terminal unit connected to ensure that the production process of real-time monitoring and accurate control.

Intelligent Building Automation System: It is also widely used in the automation system of intelligent buildings. It can connect the I/O module in the building control system with the terminal units of the lighting system, air-conditioning system, lift system and other equipments to achieve centralised control and automated management of various equipments in the building, such as automatically adjusting the brightness of the lighting according to the indoor light intensity and personnel activities, and automatically adjusting the operation status of the air-conditioner according to the indoor temperature.
