Basic Information

The ABB PAB02 Binary Output Module belongs to the H&B Contronic family, a joint venture between ABB and Hartmann & Braun. In this series, the modules work together to build complex industrial automation control systems, and the PAB02 modules are used for binary output functions and play a key role in the digital outputs of the entire system.

Output level and load capacity: It can output standard digital level signals, such as TTL (Transistor - Transistor Logic) level or CMOS (Complementary Metal - Oxide - Semiconductor) level, in order to adapt to different digital devices. At the same time, it has some load capacity and can directly drive some low power devices. However, for high power devices, power amplification through intermediate relays, etc. may be required. For example, it can directly drive small indicator lamps to make them light up or go out to visually display the system status.

Output reliability and stability:

Anti-interference measures: In industrial environments, where a variety of electromagnetic interferences exist, the PAB02 employs effective anti-interference measures to ensure the reliability of the output signals. It may include signal isolation technology, which isolates internal circuits from external output circuits by means of optocouplers or transformers, etc., to prevent external interference signals from affecting the output status. At the same time, a filter circuit may be added to the signal output line to reduce high frequency interference.

Status Feedback and Diagnostic Function: In order to facilitate the user's monitoring and troubleshooting, PAB02 may be equipped with an output status feedback function.
