PHARPS11100000 Power Supply Module

ABB PHARPS11100000 Power Supply Module

Basic Information

Series: ABB PHARPS11100000 Power Supply Module belongs to a specific series of ABB power supply modules, usually used in industrial automation and control systems.

Place of origin: The specific place of origin is not yet clear, but according to ABB's production layout, it may come from Europe (such as Sweden and other places where ABB's main production bases are located) or other regions with production capacity.

Prices and availability: Prices vary depending on market fluctuations, quantities purchased, channels and other factors. Availability is also dependent on the manufacturer's production schedule and market demand, but as a regular ABB product, it is normally available through regular sales channels.

Functional characteristics

Voltage output characteristics

Multi-voltage output capability: The power supply module is capable of providing a variety of DC voltage outputs at different levels, such as the common 5V, 12V, 24V, etc., to meet the power requirements of different devices in the system. This multi-voltage output design makes it possible to supply power to several devices with different voltage requirements at the same time, for example, it can provide adapted voltages for devices such as microcontrollers (which usually require 5V power supply), sensors (which may require 12V power supply), and some actuators (which partly require 24V power supply).

High voltage stability: it can maintain good voltage stability when outputting different voltages. Through the internal high-precision voltage regulation circuit, the fluctuation range of its output voltage is very small, for example, under the condition of rated load change, the change rate of output voltage may be controlled within ±1% - ±3%, which ensures that the connected equipment can work under stable voltage and reduces the risk of equipment performance degradation or malfunction due to voltage fluctuation.

Current Supply Capability

High Current Output Channel: For major output voltage levels, a certain amount of high current output capability is available. For example, at the 24V output, it may be able to provide several amperes or even tens of amperes of current output, which makes it possible to provide sufficient power support for some high power consuming devices, such as higher-power motor drives, large-scale industrial control equipment, etc., and to meet the current demand of these devices during startup and normal operation.

Current limiting and protection: Built-in current limiting circuit, when the output current exceeds the rated value, it will automatically activate the current limiting function to avoid damaging the power supply module and connected devices due to overcurrent. At the same time, in the event of short circuit and other extreme conditions, it can quickly cut off the output current to protect the safety of the entire power supply system.

Protection Function

Over-voltage protection: Equipped with an over-voltage protection circuit, when the input voltage or the internal conversion circuit is abnormal resulting in an over-voltage output, the output will be stopped immediately to prevent the over-voltage from causing permanent damage to the connected equipment. The over-voltage protection threshold is generally set reasonably according to different output voltage levels, for example, for 24V output, the over-voltage protection threshold may be set at around 28V - 30V.

Overheat protection: There is an internal temperature sensor to monitor the working temperature of the power supply module. When the temperature exceeds the set safety threshold (e.g. 80℃ - 90℃), it will automatically reduce the output power or take other heat dissipation measures to prevent damage to the module due to overheating. This overheating protection mechanism can effectively extend the service life of the power supply module and improve its reliability.

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)

Strong anti-interference ability: good electromagnetic compatibility, can effectively resist electromagnetic interference from the external environment, such as electromagnetic radiation generated by other equipment in the industrial field, electrostatic discharge and other interference. This is achieved through the use of electromagnetic shielding, filtering and other technologies in the design and manufacturing process of the module to ensure that the power supply module can still work stably in the complex electromagnetic environment.

Low Electromagnetic Radiation: During the working process, the electromagnetic radiation generated by itself is also controlled at a low level, which meets the relevant electromagnetic compatibility standards and will not cause interference to other electronic equipment in the surrounding area. This is particularly important for the installation of multiple electronic devices in compact electrical equipment cabinets, which ensures the electromagnetic compatibility between individual devices and improves the stability of the entire system.

Fields of application

Industrial automation control systems

In industrial automation production lines, as a key power supply device, it provides stable and reliable power support for various control modules, input/output (I/O) modules, sensors (e.g., temperature sensors, pressure sensors, photoelectric sensors, etc.) and actuators (e.g., motors, solenoid valves, etc.) in PLCs, distributed control systems (DCSs), and so on. Ensure that automated control and monitoring in industrial production processes can run smoothly, for example, in automated production lines in automotive manufacturing plants, providing power for robotic welding equipment, automated assembly equipment, etc.

Power system automation equipment

Power supply for automation control and monitoring equipment in power systems such as substations and power plants. It provides power for power automation terminal equipment (such as remote terminal unit RTU), relay protection devices, power monitoring instruments (such as power quality analysers), etc., to ensure stable operation and safe monitoring of the power system. For example, in the comprehensive automation system of a substation, it provides power support for the relevant equipment of the data acquisition and monitoring (SCADA) system.
