Functions and Uses

As a processor bus adapter cable, its main function is to realise the data transmission and signal interaction between the processor and other related devices, to ensure the normal communication and co-operation between different components in the system, in order to guarantee the stable operation of the whole system.

It is suitable for ABB's various industrial automation control systems and equipment, such as distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), etc., and is one of the key components for building industrial communication networks.

Performance characteristics

Signal transmission stability: accurate and stable transmission of various control signals, monitoring signals, etc., with low signal attenuation and distortion rate, to ensure that the system requirements for signal quality, so as to achieve precise control and monitoring of the production process.

Physical characteristics

Cable material: the outer sheath is usually made of wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, low-temperature-resistant materials, such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polyurethane (PU), etc., in order to adapt to different industrial environmental conditions; the internal conductor is mostly a copper core, which has a good electrical conductivity and low electrical resistance, which reduces the loss in the signal transmission process.

Length and specification: The length is usually customised according to specific application scenarios and user requirements, with common lengths of 1m, 2m, 5m, etc. In terms of specification, the wire diameter, the number of cores and other parameters will be designed according to different transmission requirements, in order to satisfy the demand for data transmission volume and transmission rate between different devices.
