3. Certification standards

Compliant with international standards such as IEC/EN 60947-1, IEC/EN 60947-4-1, UL 60947, and certified with CE, UKCA, CQC, etc., meeting the requirements for global mainstream market access.

Adaptation and installation

1. Applicable equipment

Specially designed for ABB manual motor starter series, the core compatible models include:

MS325 series

MO325 series

Installed on the right side of the starter, it monitors the tripping status through a mechanical linkage structure and can work without additional power supply.

2. Wiring and Function

As a conversion contact (1NO+1NC), its typical application logic is as follows:

Normally closed contact (NC): connected in series with the motor control circuit, conducting normally and disconnecting when tripped, forcibly cutting off the control signal to achieve shutdown protection;

Normally open contact (NO): connected to PLC or indicator light circuit, closed when tripped, outputs fault status feedback signal for system diagnosis and recording.

Performance characteristics

1. High reliability monitoring

Adopting a mechanical linkage triggering structure, there is no need to rely on electronic components to avoid monitoring failures caused by circuit faults. It can accurately capture various tripping scenarios (short circuit, overload, electrical trip) of manual motor starters, ensuring that fault signals are not missed. At the same time, the electrical and mechanical lifespan of 100000 cycles far exceeds the standard of 50000 cycles for ordinary signal contacts, which can meet the long-term frequent start stop needs in industrial scenarios, reducing equipment replacement frequency and maintenance costs.

2. Wide voltage adaptability

In terms of electrical performance, it supports a rated working voltage of 400V AC/250V DC, and has stable rated working current at different voltage levels (such as 3A at 24V and 0.5A at 380/400V in AC-15 category). It is suitable for common low-voltage control circuit voltages in the industrial field, without the need for additional voltage conversion modules, which improves the versatility of the product and can be flexibly applied to various motor control systems such as machine tools, water pumps, fans, etc.

3. Safety compliance and protection design

Compliant with multiple international standards such as IEC/EN and UL, and possessing authoritative certifications such as CE, UKCA, and CQC, ensuring that the installation and use of the product in different regions around the world comply with local safety regulations. Although the protection level of IP20 is only applicable to the cabinet environment, it can effectively prevent foreign objects such as fingers from entering the interior of the contacts, avoiding the risk of short circuit or electric shock caused by accidental contact; At the same time, the recommended torque design for screw terminals (0.8-1.0N · m) ensures the firmness of the wiring and prevents damage to the terminals due to excessive torque, further improving electrical safety.

4. Convenient fault feedback and reset

The orange protruding button equipped on the body has a clear visual identification, and the button pops up after tripping, making it easy for staff to quickly locate the faulty equipment; The design requires manual pressing to reset, which can avoid equipment misoperation before troubleshooting, forming a safe process of "troubleshooting manual reset restore operation". In addition, the 1NO+1NC conversion contact design can simultaneously achieve the dual functions of "control circuit cut-off protection" and "fault signal feedback", simplifying the wiring logic of the control circuit.
