ABB TAS01 Turbine Auto Sync Module
Basic Information
Series:ABB Bailey Infi 90 series.
Country of origin: Sweden, but also known as Germany / Finland / Sweden.
Dimensions and weight: Dimensions approx. 17.8cm x 5.1cm x 33.0cm, weight approx. 0.3kg.
Functionality
Auto-synchronisation function: the module enables automatic synchronisation between the turbine generator and the grid. Before connecting, it will monitor the frequency, voltage and other parameters of the grid, and control the generator speed, etc. to ensure that the generator's output matches the grid's parameters, thus achieving a smooth, shock-free connection and preventing equipment damage and power system disturbances due to unsynchronisation.
Improvement of system reliability: The automated synchronisation process reduces human errors and improves the reliability and safety of the turbine generator's connection to the power grid, which in turn improves the operational efficiency and stability of the entire power plant.
Integration with the control system: The TAS01 module works with ABB's Symphony Plus control system, in particular the Harmony Rack, and is able to work in conjunction with other control modules and devices to achieve comprehensive monitoring and optimal control of the turbine-generator unit.
Technical data
Operating voltage: 5/15 Vdc.
Power consumption: 4va.
Application Fields
Mainly used in power plants and other power generation systems with steam turbine as the prime mover, to ensure that the steam turbine generator can be safely, stably and efficiently connected to the power grid, which plays an important role in maintaining the normal operation of the power system and the quality of power supply.
Supported ABB I/O Systems and Families
• S800 I/O, a distributed modular I/O system for communication via ModuleBus and PROFIBUS DP.
• S900 I/O, a remote I/O system (for hazardous areas) that can be connected to PLCs via PROFIBUS DP.
• S200 I/O and S200L I/O, two compatible, modular I/O systems. S200 I/O modules can be connected via CI856 or PROFIBUS DP to PLCs. • S100 I/O, a rack-based I/O system that can be connected to PLC using the CI856 interface module.
• Satt I/O, makes it possible to use Satt Rack I/O (an older Satt I/O system) connected to PLC using the CI865 communication interface.
