Description

ABB 560MPR03 Rack

ABB 560MPR03 Rack

DESCRIPTION

The 560MPR03 rack is designed to be used with or without redundant power supply. Therefore, it has 2 slots for redundant power supply units (PSU). Up to 18 slots can be used for I/O boards, communication units (CMU) or a mixture of both. It is interfaced to other racks via the RTU560 serial peripheral bus. Up to 7 560MPR03 racks can be connected to an I/O bus segment. By using the bus connection unit 560BCU04, the 560MPR03 becomes a rack with up to 8 communication units (560CMR01/ 560CMR02).

Allocation of the slots:

Two slots for:

• 1 or 2 power supply units (each 2 slots wide) 17 slots for:

• Up to 8 communication units

• Up to 17 I/O boards (with redundant power supply)

• Up to 18 I/O boards (if only one PSU is used)

For the physical interfacing of boards edge connectors of type F (DIN 41612) are used. Rows 2 to 20 of the edge connectors connect the RTU560 system bus and are soldered directly to printed circuit board. The 18 connection points of an F female connector for the connection of the process signals are located on a plugin socket block on the mounting panel. The process signal cables are connected to plug-in sockets with screw terminals or to connection pins for ‚Standard Termi Point’. The process signals can therefore be disconnected from the plug-in socket block at any time.

Product Overview

ABB 560MPR03 Rack is an important part of ABB 560 series RTU products, which provides a rugged and reliable platform for installing and integrating various remote terminal devices, such as communication modules, input/output modules and so on. With compact design and robust structure, the rack is suitable for various harsh industrial environments.

Product Features

Compatibility: ABB 560MPR03 Rack is highly compatible with other products of ABB 560 series, such as 560PSR00 power supply unit, 560NMS34 switch, etc. It can be easily integrated into the whole RTU system.

Expandability: The rack provides multiple slots and interfaces, which can support the expansion of multiple communication units and input/output modules to meet different application requirements of users.

Reliability: The use of high-quality materials and advanced manufacturing process ensures the reliability and durability of the rack. At the same time, the rack is also equipped with a variety of protection functions, such as over-voltage protection, short-circuit protection, etc., which further improves the stability of the system.

Ease of maintenance: The rack is designed with ease of maintenance in mind, allowing users to easily remove and replace modules, reducing maintenance costs and time.

Application Scenarios

ABB 560MPR03 Rack is widely used in industrial automation, remote monitoring, smart grid and other fields. It can be used as an installation platform for remote terminal equipment to achieve data acquisition, transmission, processing and other functions, providing strong support for industrial automation and remote monitoring.

Power supply unit

For ABB 560MPR03 Rack, the commonly used power supply unit is 560PSR00. the power supply unit has the following features:

Input voltage range: 24~60V DC, able to adapt to different power supply voltage requirements.

Output Voltage: Provides two output voltages, 5V and 24V DC, to meet the power requirements of different modules in the rack.

Redundant Configuration: Supports redundant power supply configuration, when one of the power supply fails, the other power supply can take over the whole load to ensure the continuous operation of the system.

Protection Function: It is equipped with various protection functions such as potential isolation between input and output, electronic power limitation at output terminal, short circuit protection at output terminal, over-voltage protection at input terminal, reverse voltage protection at input terminal, and so on.
