Product Overview

The ABB 560RCR01 is a real-time clock GPS module designed specifically for the RTU560 series, which is capable of synchronising the RTU560 with the standard time of GPS satellites. This remote terminal unit is not only equipped with accurate time synchronisation, but also with powerful communication and data processing capabilities, suitable for a variety of industrial automation and remote monitoring applications.

Main Functions

Time synchronisation:

Receive standard time information through GPS satellite and synchronise the internal time of RTU560 with the standard time.

The use of high-precision quartz clocks continues to provide time service when the GPS signal is interrupted, ensuring time continuity.

Communication Interface:

Provides serial data interface RS232 for reading time, date and status information.

Supports connection to the RTU560 system bus for transmission and synchronisation of time information.

Status Indication:

Four light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are provided on the front panel to indicate the status of board alarms, free running (not synchronised with GPS), minute pulses and position lock.

Minute Pulse Output:

In addition to the minute pulse output for RTU560 synchronisation, an additional minute pulse output is provided, which is connected to the module via an optocoupler.
