ABB 560SFR02 Rack
Overview:
The ABB 560SFR02 rack is designed for the RTU560 series and can be used in redundant power or non-redundant power configurations.
It provides 17 slots for mounting I/O boards, communication units (CMUs), or a mix of both.
Features:
Connects to other racks via the RTU560s serial peripheral bus for data communication and synchronisation.
Up to seven 560SFR02 racks can be connected to one system for high expansion.
A total of 20 slots are available for mounting boards, with two slots for power supply units (PSUs) and 17 slots for I/O boards and/or CMU modules.
Monitoring circuits check the board's power supply voltage (24V DC and 5V DC) and indicate power supply voltage faults via status relay contacts.
Redundant Power Configuration:
In a redundant power configuration, a second PSU can be plugged into slot 19 and made operational, while slot 18 can be used to mount additional I/O boards when the second PSU is not in use.
560BCU05 Bus Connection Unit
Overview:
The 560BCU05 is a bus connection unit designed for the 560SFR02 rack to connect and synchronise multiple communication units (CMUs).
Function:
With the 560BCU05, up to eight Communication Units (e.g. 560CMU05/560CMU02R2) can be connected to the 560SFR02 Rack.
Even for applications with only one communication unit, the BCU05 is required for system connection and synchronisation.
Installation and Configuration:
The BCU05 can be mounted in a swing-out cabinet or frame for easy configuration according to the actual needs of the user.
During installation and configuration, it is necessary to ensure that the BCU05 is correctly connected to the slots and interfaces of the 560SFR02 frame to achieve reliable data transmission.
Combined Applications
System scalability:
By using the 560SFR02 rack and 560BCU05 bus connection unit in combination, users can easily expand the size and functionality of the RTU560 system.
Up to seven 560SFR02 racks can be connected, and up to eight communication units can be connected to each rack, meeting the needs of large-scale industrial automation and remote monitoring projects.
Data communication and synchronisation:
The 560SFR02 rack is connected to other racks via the RTU560s serial peripheral bus for high-speed, reliable data transmission.
The 560BCU05 acts as a bus connection unit, ensuring data synchronisation and coordinated operation between multiple communication units.
Monitoring and Maintenance:
The monitoring circuit on the 560SFR02 rack monitors the power supply voltage and fault status in real time, and displays and alarms through status relay contacts.
Users can easily understand the operating status of the system through the monitoring circuits and status indicators, and perform necessary maintenance and troubleshooting.
