It is widely used in various industrial automation control scenarios.

Specification parameters

-Communication specifications: Supports remote I/O station communication (only on/off data RX/RY), remote device station communication (on/off data RX/RY+digital data remote register), local station N: N communication (exchange of bit data and word data between PC CPUs);

-Transmission performance: The maximum transmission speed is 10Mbps, and high-speed link scanning can still be maintained when connecting up to 64 sites at this speed; The transmission distance is adjusted according to the speed, with a maximum of 100m at 10Mbps and 1.2km at 156kbps;

-Environmental adaptability: Operating temperature range of 0-50 ℃, relative humidity of 45%~85% RH, suitable for indoor installation, installation altitude not exceeding 2000m, in compliance with IEC 61010-1 standard, pollution level 2, overvoltage category II;

-Installation and wiring: Adopting slot installation, it needs to be compatible with FA-M3 series basic modules; The terminal spacing is 5.0mm. It is recommended to use a straight screwdriver with a size of 0.6 × 3.5 and a length greater than 130mm for wiring operations. It is recommended to tighten the torque in accordance with industry standards;

-Protection configuration: No built-in fuse. If configuration is required, it is recommended to use relay fuses with 250V and 1A specifications; Equipped with multiple software/hardware protection functions, it can cope with fault scenarios such as short circuit, overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overload, overheating, etc;

-Warranty information: The standard warranty period is 1 year, and the acceptance period is 7 days.

Performance characteristics

-Multi mode communication compatibility: It can flexibly switch multiple communication modes such as remote I/O stations, remote device stations, local stations, etc., adapt to the data transmission needs in different scenarios, and achieve comprehensive coverage transmission of bit data and word data;

-High speed and stable transmission: With a maximum transmission rate of 10Mbps, it can maintain efficient link scanning speed even when fully equipped with 64 sites, ensuring real-time and timely data transmission and meeting the strict response speed requirements of industrial control;

-Strong scalability: Supports multi site expansion connections, up to 64 sites can be connected, and the transmission distance can be flexibly adapted from 100m to 1.2km through rate adjustment, making it easy to build large-scale distributed control systems;

-Industrial grade reliability: Adopting a sturdy industrial grade shell design, it has good anti-interference and anti harsh environmental capabilities, and can effectively resist common interference factors in industrial sites such as vibration, impact, dust, corrosive gases, etc., ensuring long-term stable operation;

-Convenient integration and maintenance: The slot style design can be quickly integrated into the FA-M3 series PLC system, with clear wiring specifications and support for system debugging related to structural ladder diagram programming language, reducing installation and maintenance difficulties and improving engineering efficiency;

-Comprehensive safety protection: equipped with multiple fault protection mechanisms such as short circuit, overcurrent, and overvoltage, combined with standardized grounding and wiring design, can effectively prevent electrical faults and safety hazards, ensuring the safety of equipment and operators.

Working principle

The core working principle of the YOKOGAWA F3LC21-1N multi link module is to achieve data encoding, transmission, and decoding interaction between different devices by constructing standardized communication links. As the communication hub of the system, the module first establishes a data exchange channel with the PLC main CPU module through slot type connection, receives communication instructions and configuration parameters from the main station, and specifies key parameters such as communication mode (remote I/O station/remote equipment station/local station), transmission rate, and station address.

In the data transmission stage, the module processes different types of data according to the preset communication mode: in remote I/O station mode, only the on/off status data (remote input RX, remote output RY) is collected and forwarded; In remote device station mode, in addition to on/off data, digital data (remote registers) are also packaged and transmitted; In the N: N mode of the local station, bidirectional data exchange between multiple PC CPUs is achieved, establishing a synchronous transmission link for bit data and word data. The module sends data frames at a set rate (up to 10Mbps) through a high-speed communication interface, while receiving real-time feedback data from the slave station, completing link scanning and data verification to ensure the accuracy of data transmission.

In addition, the built-in protection mechanism of the module will monitor the circuit status in real time. When abnormal situations such as short circuit, overcurrent, overvoltage, etc. are detected, the protection action will be immediately triggered to cut off the faulty link or issue an alarm signal, avoiding the expansion of the fault and ensuring the stable operation of the entire control system.
