GE MS-NAE5510-1 Ethernet-based automation device
GE MS-NAE5510-1 Ethernet-based automation device
DESCRIPTION
The MS-NAE5510-1 Network Engine is a robust and adaptable supervisory device created to improve the administration and control of building automation networks. This web-enabled, Ethernet-based automation engine acts as a center for managing various systems in office buildings, manufacturing plants, and apartment complexes. The device can accommodate two N2 trunks, two BACnet MS/TP (RS-485) trunks, or a combination of a N2 trunk and a BACnet MS/TP trunk. Reliability in various settings is guaranteed by the product's robust plastic casing, which has an interior metal shield and IP20 protection. For serial communication and data transfers, the network engine is furnished with two RS-232-C connections and two USB Serial interfaces, respectively. In order to facilitate communication and integration with other devices, it also has one Ethernet port and two optically isolated RS-485 interfaces. In addition to having a data protection battery, the MS-NAE5510-1 runs on a 24 VAC power input. The ability to manage up to 100 devices per trunk gives plenty of flexibility and scalability.
Product Features and Functions
Enhanced IP Network Connectivity: The MS-NAE5510-1 Network Controller enhances IP network connectivity, enabling the web-based controller to play a more significant role in Metasys Building Automation Systems (BMS).
Multi-Protocol Support: The controller employs building automation industry-standard building management communication technologies, including BACnetTM protocol, LONWORKS protocol, and N2 bus, enabling support for a wide range of communication protocols and devices.
Comprehensive monitoring and management: can monitor and manage the operation of a building's heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, lighting, security, fire protection and more. Provides monitoring, warning and event management, data exchange, trend analysis, energy management, scheduling, and data storage.
User Interface and Security: Built-in a Site Manager user interface, supports single or multiple web browser user interfaces, and employs password authorisation as well as IT industry security protection techniques.
Modularity and Expandability: The NAE 55 supports monitoring and management of large facility systems in buildings, while the NAE 35/NAE 45 is suitable for small building facilities and can be expanded in large facilities.
