The component has eight ports with 10/100BASE-TX capability. It's one of numerous Ethernet switch models available for use with the Mark VIe system. It features a conformal coating and is suitable for usage in hazardous environments. The machine can function in temperatures ranging from -40 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit. IS420ESWAH3A Features Compatibility with 802.3, 802.3u, and 802.3x 10/100 base copper with auto-negotiation Full/half duplex auto-negotiation 100 Mbps FX uplink port HP-MDIX auto-sensing Link Presence, Activity, Duplex, and Speed per port LEDs (each LED has two colors) Power LED 256 KB buffer with 4K media access control (MAC) addresses Flow Control Flow control between switches is supported by the switch. 

It receives and honors pause packets using IEEE defined pause packets. The switch only sends pause packets if a port requires flow control. IONet Ethernet Switch Reliability and Performance Because high reliability is critical in the controls solutions industry, the switch has a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of more than 4 million hours at 35C (95 F) ambient temperature, ground fixed controlled environment. Product Attributes Mounting The switch enclosure can be panel mounted (the switch is bracket mounted to the back wall of the panel) or DIN-rail mounted. DIN-rail mounting satisfies vibration and shock requirements.

The following four criteria are used to assess capability and conformance: Starting the required Multicast packet load on a single port without negotiating IEEE 802.3x flow control Begin the required Multicast packet load on a single port, with IEEE 802.3x flow control negotiated Initiation of the required Multicast packet load distributed across all ports, with no IEEE 802.3x flow control. Start the required packet Multicast load across all ports; packet count per port must average 200 per number of switch ports, with IEEE 802.3x flow control negotiated on half of the ports.

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:

IS420ESWBH3A is an Ethernet IONet Switch manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark VIe Series used in GE Distributed Gas Turbine Control Systems. It is available in 8 ports, 10/100BASE-TX. The ESWB Ethernet 10/100 switches are specially designed to meet the needs of real-time industrial control solutions and are required for all IONet switches used in Mark VIe & VIeS safety control systems. It is a DIN - Rail mounting module. To meet the requirements for speed and functionality the following features are provided.
