ABB NE810 3BSE080207R1  Network switch

ABB NE810 (product number 3BSE080207R1) is an 8-port unmanaged network switch that focuses on industrial grade high reliability. Compared to the 5-port NE802, it has significantly increased device access capacity and is more suitable for multi device networking needs in industrial scenarios. It is an important connection node in industrial automation network architecture.

Port configuration: balancing scalability and flexibility

The NE810 adopts a hybrid port design of "fiber optic+copper cable", including 2 SFP fiber optic ports and 6 RJ45 copper cable ports. All ports support 10/100/1000 Mbit/s adaptive Ethernet connection and are compatible with industrial equipment of different speeds (such as PLC, sensors, human-machine interface, etc.) access.

SFP fiber port: It can be flexibly matched with ABB's full range of SFP transceivers (multimode, single-mode, bidirectional types). Single mode transceivers support a maximum transmission distance of 120km, while multimode transceivers are suitable for short distance (such as within 550m) high bandwidth transmission, effectively meeting the networking needs of cross regional and anti-interference in industrial sites;

RJ45 copper cable port: adopting industrial grade shielding design, supporting CAT5e and above specification Ethernet cables, with a transmission distance of up to 100m, meeting the centralized access scenarios of multiple devices at close range. Compared with the four copper cable ports of NE802, the access capacity is increased by 50%, reducing the complexity of cascading multiple switches.

Power supply design: dual guarantee of redundancy and safety

Continuing ABB's high reliability power supply solution for industrial switches, the NE810 is equipped with dual 10-57 VDC wide voltage power inputs and supports power redundancy backup - when one power supply fails (such as line power failure or power module damage), the other power supply can seamlessly switch to ensure uninterrupted network operation. This design is consistent with the NE802, but further optimized in terms of power circuit protection:

Built in overvoltage, overcurrent, and short-circuit protection circuits can withstand common power fluctuations in industrial sites (such as voltage spikes and instantaneous overloads), avoiding equipment damage;

Similarly, the "three electric isolation" technology (port power supply chassis shielding layer is isolated from each other) is used to completely cut off the grounding loop current, prevent signal interference caused by different equipment grounding potential differences, and ensure data transmission stability.

Protection and durability: Suitable for harsh industrial environments

As an industrial grade equipment, NE810 performs outstandingly in terms of protection performance and environmental adaptability, with some indicators better than NE802:

Protection level: up to IP21 standard, can be installed in industrial control cabinets or environments with condensation water, internal circuits are protected from dust and dripping liquids, and is on par with NE802;

Working temperature range: Supports wide temperature operation from -40 ℃ to+70 ℃ (-40 ℉ to+158 ℉), capable of handling extreme industrial scenarios with high and low temperatures (such as outdoor substations, metallurgical workshops, and low-temperature storage areas), without startup or operational failures;

Durability index: Using 100% industrial grade components (such as high-temperature resistant capacitors and corrosion-resistant metal shells), the average time between failures (MTBF) is as high as 1250000 hours, which is further improved compared to NE802's 1182000 hours. The equipment has no fans or moving parts inside, fundamentally reducing mechanical wear and tear failures, and the service life can reach more than 10 years.

Core features: Convenient operation and scene adaptation

Automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover function: All ports support this function without distinguishing between "straight line" and "crossover line". When connecting devices, the port mode is automatically recognized and adjusted, simplifying the on-site installation and debugging process. It is consistent with the NE802 operation logic and reduces the operating threshold for operation and maintenance personnel;

Multi functional LED indicator light: The front is equipped with clear status indicator lights, including "power supply (2 channels, distinguishing between main and backup power supplies), port speed (10/100/1000M), duplex mode (full duplex/half duplex), link status, and data flow". Compared with NE802, it has added a "backup power status light", which can intuitively judge the working condition of dual power supplies and troubleshoot more efficiently;

Installation method: Supports 35mm DIN rail installation (compliant with EN 50022 standard), compact body design (only 1.2 times the width of NE802), can be densely deployed in industrial control cabinets, saving installation space;

Flow control optimization: Supports IEEE 802.3x full duplex flow control and backpressure half duplex flow control, which can automatically adjust the data transmission rate according to network load to avoid packet loss caused by data congestion. Compared with NE802, the flow control algorithm is more flexible and suitable for high concurrency data transmission scenarios with multiple devices (such as real-time data collection on production lines);

Anti interference performance: Through EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) certification (EN 61000-6-2 Industrial Immunity Standard), it can resist electromagnetic interference in industrial sites (such as motor start stop, frequency converter radiation), ensure error free data transmission, and have better stability than ordinary commercial switches.
