NI PXI-2510 module
National Instruments PXI-2510 The PXI signal is inserted into the switch module
The National Instruments PXI-2510 is A 2 A, 68 channel PXI signal insertion switch module. The Fault insertion Unit (FIU) is the ideal solution for electronic reliability testing and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) applications. The NI PXI-2510 is equipped with a set of feedthrough channels. With these feed channels, the user can short-circuit or open one or more faulty buses. The architecture can also be used to simulate interrupted or open connections, as well as battery voltage short circuits, pin-to-pin short circuits, and ground short circuits. When the NI PXI-2510 is controlled via LabVIEW Real-Time modules, it becomes the ideal solution for validating FADEC, engine control units (ECUs) and a variety of other control systems.
With digital filtering disabled, the signal can be inserted into the switch module to recognize pulse widths as narrow as <150 ns. The NI PXI-2510 has a non-latching electromechanical relay with a drive time of 1 ms(typical value) and a mechanical relay life expectancy of 1×108 cycles. The expected relay life of the PXI-2510 relay is 5×105 times at 30 V and 1 A, and 1×105 times at 30 V and 2 A. The front panel of the switch module is 160 DIN 41612 male head and can provide 160 positions. In terms of its physical characteristics, the PXI-2510 is a 3U, single-slot PXI module that weighs approximately 12.6 ounces and measures 18.8 cm x 2.0 cm x 13.0 cm. The power consumption of the switch module is 6.6 watts when operating at 5 V voltage.
