Basic Information

Product Overview:ABB NLSM01 Network 90 Loop Storage is an important storage module in ABB Bailey Net 90 system. It is mainly used to store a variety of data in the system, including data related to control loops, system configuration information, history records, etc., to provide support for the stable operation and data management of the entire system.

Data storage function

Versatility of storage content: It is possible to store many types of data. For control loops, it is possible to store data such as setpoints, process variables, control parameters (e.g. proportional, integral, differential coefficients for PID controllers), and so on. In addition, it can also store system configuration parameters, such as network node addresses, communication protocol settings, parameter configurations of modules, etc., as well as historical data in the course of system operation, such as alarm records and operation records.

Data capacity and organisation: It has a certain data storage capacity, which varies according to the product model. The stored data is managed through effective organisation, which is convenient for quick query and call. Data Management Functions

Storage capacity and performance

Storage capacity range: Storage capacity typically ranges from a few hundred KB to several MB, depending on the model. Although this capacity may be small compared to modern general-purpose storage devices, it is sufficient for the specific data storage needs of industrial control systems, capable of storing thousands to tens of thousands of control loop-related data and records.

Read and write speed: Data writing and reading speed can meet the real-time requirements of industrial control systems. Write speeds can generally reach tens of kilobytes per second, and read speeds are even faster, making it possible to respond quickly when data needs to be accessed for analysis or control decisions.

Interface characteristics

Type and number of communication interfaces: There is usually at least one Ethernet interface for high-speed data transfer and network connectivity, and one or more serial interfaces for communication with specific devices. The Ethernet interface may support transmission rates of 10/100 Mbps, the baud rate of the serial interface can be set in a wide range, e.g. 9600bps - 115200bps.

Communication protocol compatibility: In addition to supporting the internal communication protocols of the ABB Net 90 system, it is also compatible with some common industrial communication protocols, such as Modbus RTU and TCP modes, which increases the versatility of the module in different system integrations.

Environmental parameters

Operating Temperature Range: It can work normally in the temperature range of - 10℃ - + 60℃, which covers the common temperature of most industrial environments and ensures that the module can operate stably in different seasons and different industrial places (such as indoor control rooms, outdoor control cabinets of some equipments, etc.).

Humidity range: The relative humidity range is generally 10% - 90% (non-condensing), able to work in a certain humidity environment, to prevent electrical failure or performance degradation caused by humidity problems.

Protection level: Usually with IP20 protection level, it can prevent solid objects larger than 12.5mm in diameter from entering, and protect the internal circuitry from being touched and damaged by foreign objects.
