ABB NTAI04 Analog Input Termination Unit

Features

Multi-signal type support: It can terminate and filter many types of signals, including voltage, current and RTD, etc. It can be adapted to a variety of sensors to meet the measurement needs of different industrial sites.

Moderate number of channels: with 4 channels, it can meet the basic analogue signal acquisition requirements for some small or control systems that do not have particularly high demand for the number of input points, and it can also save cost and space to a certain extent.

Technical Parameters

Input voltage range: -10V to 10V, 0V to 20V and so on.

Input current range: 0 to 2mA, 4 to 20mA and so on.

Input resistance: 250 ohms.

Accuracy: ±0.1%, which ensures high accuracy of the collected analogue signals and provides reliable data support for the control system.

Temperature range: The operating temperature range is usually 0°C to 60°C, which can work stably in the more common industrial ambient temperature conditions.

Application Scenarios

Industrial process control field: in chemical, petroleum, metallurgy and other industries, it can be connected to temperature sensors, pressure sensors, flow sensors, etc., and the analogue signals collected on site can be transmitted to the control system to achieve real-time monitoring and precise control of temperature, pressure, flow and other parameters in the production process.

Power system monitoring: in power plants, substations and other power systems, it can be used to collect the temperature, voltage, current and other parameters of the generator, as well as the transformer's oil temperature, winding temperature and other signals, to provide data support for the safe and stable operation of the power system, and to detect potential failures and take measures in time.

Intelligent building system: In the air-conditioning system, ventilation system, water supply and drainage system of the building, connecting temperature sensors, humidity sensors, flow sensors, etc., to realise automatic monitoring and intelligent control of the environmental parameters and equipment operation status in the building, and to improve the building's energy utilisation efficiency and comfort level.

Equipment Condition Monitoring: It is used to connect the sensors of all kinds of equipments, collect the analogue signals of vibration, temperature, pressure and so on during the operation of the equipments, and through the analysis and processing of these signals, it can realize the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of the equipments, discover the potential problems of the equipments in time, and improve the reliability and maintenance efficiency of the equipments.

The transfer sequence of OTM_C21D can be summarized in following steps: 

• An anomaly occurs on the Line 1 (LN1) 

• Generator start, immediately start generator in case of black-out, phase-loss, overvoltage or undervoltage (If Generator mode is selected) 

• The Line 2 start the normal functioning,  transfer delay Ts 

• Change-over switch (Switch I) to the position 0 

• Change-over switch (Switch II) to the  position II

And the return sequence can be summarized in  the following steps: 

• The Line 1 will start the normal functioning 

• Change-over switch stays in position II 

• An anomaly occurs on the Line 2 (LN2) 

• Change-over switch stays in position II 

• Change-over switch can be transferred  manually back to position I

• Uras26 infrared photometer  for the measurement of infrared-active gas components,  e.g. CO, NO, SO2 

• Limas23 ultraviolet photometer  for the measurement of NO, NO2 and SO2 

• Magnos206 oxygen analyzer  for the measurement of O2 in process gas or in N2 

• Magnos28 oxygen analyzer  for the measurement of O2 in process gas or in N2 

• Magnos27 oxygen analyzer  for the measurement of O2 in flue gas or in N2 

• ZO23 trace oxygen analyzer  for the measurement of O2 in pure gases (N2, CO2, Ar)  

• Caldos27 thermal conductivity analyzer  for the measurement of binary gas mixtures with different  thermal conductivity, e.g. Ar in O2, H2 in Ar, CH4 in N2 

• Fidas24 flame-ionization detector  for the measurement of hydrocarbons  

• Electrochemical oxygen sensor  for the measurement of O2
