GE DS200ACNAG1A ARCNET Connection Card
GE DS200ACNAG1A ARCNET Connection Card
Part Number DS200ACNAG1A Manufacturer General Electric Country of Manufacture As Per GE Manufacturing Policy Series Mark V Function Module Availability In StockDS200ACNAG1A is an ARCNET LAN Connections Board manufactured by General Electric as a part of the Mark V series used in gas turbine control systems. The ACNA terminal board serves as the connection for the ARCNET data link between the main controller, IOS, protection module, and mark V turbine control panel. Termination is made using a coaxial cable. Each ACNA can terminate two coaxial cables.
Connector ARCPL is used only on the ARCNET model. The ARCNET Board is a simple PCB with two BNC connectors that are readily installed and removed on a Mark V or EX2000 drive system because it is located externally. Four metal film resistors (R1/R2/R3/R4), two transistors, one diode, and three capacitors (C1/C2/C3) are among the components. Two apertures rimmed with metal cut into either side of the card make up the board. GND1 and GND2 are the designations for these. Two communications relay devices are located in the center of the board. Relay schematics are printed on the upper surface of both components.
A single six-pin male vertical pin terminal connector is located along the centerline of the board, and two female BNC plugs complete the ARCNET Connection Card. These plugs are intended to make LAN communication easier. TXA(-) - Transmitting and receiving signals, Channel A TXA(+) - Transmitting and receiving signals Channel A TXB(-) - Transmitting and receiving signals Channel B TXB(+) - Transmitting and receiving signals Channel B P5 - Power +5 V DC DCOM - Power Digital Common TXB - Transmitting signal selected by JP15 as isolated DLAN Circuit or RS-422 TXA - Receiving signal selected by JP15 as isolated DLAN Circuit or RS-422CARD.
Hardware Tips and Specifications
It is important to note that conventional ARCNET systems, including this DS200ACNAG1A model, operate at a rate of 2.5 Mbps. This allows a signal on the network to happen in approximately 400 ns. This timing limits the size of an ARCNET system, which cannot, realistically, be longer than four miles; any longer than this, the system will begin to experience extended timeouts when messages are sent between nodes. The DS200ACNAG1A has very few components, considering its very small circuit board size. Some relevant components include:
four metal film resistors (R1/R2/R3/R4,)
two transistors,
one diode,
and three capacitors (C1/C2/C3.)
