INTRODUCTION
General Electric Multilin’s UR-8HH is a CT/VT module intended for installation in the Universal Relays series. It provides the relay with 1A/5A ground CTs and 3-1A/5A phase CTs, allowing the relay to scale down current ratings and voltage ratings to a value that enables the relay to monitor these system conditions and output data for user review. The data can then be employed for protective system functions executed by the relay itself. This data can be viewed through the relay’s liquid-crystal display or more efficiently through Multilin’s EnerVista UR software program.
Main Functions
Provides the relay with a 1A/5A ground current transformer and a 3-1A/5A phase current transformer.
Allows the relay to scale down current ratings and voltage ratings, enabling the relay to monitor these system conditions and output data for user viewing.
Data Viewing and Configuration
The module's data can be viewed through the relay's LCD display or more efficiently through Multilin's EnerVista UR software programme.
EnerVista UR allows for efficient configuration of the settings associated with the CT/VT module, allowing for highly customised scenarios to meet the unique needs of each user's system.
EnerVista's Viewpoint UR Engineer also features a drag-and-drop environment for quick debugging of relays and associated modules.
Module Connections and Channel Configuration
The voltage inputs of the CT/VT modules should be connected to specific channels to ensure proper function.
Channels 1 and 5 should be connected to phase A.
Channels 2 and 6 should be connected to phase B.
Channels 3 and 7 should be connected to phase C.
Channels 4 and 8 are connected to a single-phase supply.
