Functional features

Connection and communication: As a gateway module connecting the Symphony Plus control system with the S800 I/O, it can realize the connection and data communication between the HN800 I/O bus and the S800 I/O module bus, ensuring the information interaction between different parts of the system.

Signal Processing: Handles inputs and outputs, analog and digital signal types, pulse counter and event sequence data acquisition, and is capable of interfacing with many types of I/O in the S800 I/O subsystem, such as Basic AI/AO, Basic DI, SOE DI, Basic DO, Pulse Inputs, Temperature Device Inputs, Intrinsically Safe and Redundant I/O.

Configuration Flexibility: Selectable redundant or non-redundant configurations, support for the S800 I/O subsystem's Sequence of Events feature, and receipt of configuration information from the Symphony Plus controller using standard Symphony Plus function codes to specify S800 I/O data.

Performance Parameters

Similar to the IOR-810, the distance between the IOR-800 and the Symphony Plus controller is up to 30 meters if connected via an electrical HN800 bus, or up to 3,000 meters if connected via a fiber-optic HN800 bus using an RFO810 repeater. The maximum distance between the IOR-800 and the S800 cluster modem or between two cluster modems in a daisy chain is 15 meters for fiber optic modular buses if using plastic fiber optic cables, 200 meters if using HCS fiber optic cables, and 1000 meters if using TB825 optical media converters and glass fiber cables.

Application Scenarios

Industrial automation control system: In chemical, electric power, pharmaceutical, water treatment and other industries, it is used to connect Symphony Plus control system and S800 I/O module to realize real-time collection, control and monitoring of various parameters in the production process to ensure efficient, stable and safe operation of the production process.

Intelligent Building Management System: It can be applied to building management system to realize centralized control and management of various equipments (such as air conditioner, elevator, lighting, etc.) in the building, so as to improve the building's energy utilization efficiency and comfort.

Other complex control systems: It can also be applied to complex control systems in the fields of transportation, energy management, environmental protection, etc., providing reliable I/O interfaces and data transmission solutions for the systems.

The transfer sequence of OTM_C21D can be summarized in following steps: 

• An anomaly occurs on the Line 1 (LN1) 

• Generator start, immediately start generator in case of black-out, phase-loss, overvoltage or undervoltage (If Generator mode is selected) 

• The Line 2 start the normal functioning,  transfer delay Ts 

• Change-over switch (Switch I) to the position 0 

• Change-over switch (Switch II) to the  position II

And the return sequence can be summarized in  the following steps: 

• The Line 1 will start the normal functioning 

• Change-over switch stays in position II 

• An anomaly occurs on the Line 2 (LN2) 

• Change-over switch stays in position II 

• Change-over switch can be transferred  manually back to position I

• Magnos27 oxygen analyzer  for the measurement of O2 in flue gas or in N2 

• ZO23 trace oxygen analyzer  for the measurement of O2 in pure gases (N2, CO2, Ar)  

• Caldos27 thermal conductivity analyzer  for the measurement of binary gas mixtures with different  thermal conductivity, e.g. Ar in O2, H2 in Ar, CH4 in N2 

• Fidas24 flame-ionization detector  for the measurement of hydrocarbons  

• Electrochemical oxygen sensor  for the measurement of O2
