BENTLY 330400 and 330425 Accelerometer Acceleration Transducers
DESCRIPTION
These accelerometers are intended for critical machinery applications where casing acceleration measurements are required, such as gear mesh monitoring. The 330400 is designed to address the requirements of American Petroleum Institute Standard 670 for accelerometers. It provides an amplitude range of 50 g peak and a sensitivity of 100 mV/g. The 330425 is identical except it provides a larger amplitude range (75 g peak) and a sensitivity of 25 mV/g.
Technical Features
1. BENTLY 330400
Amplitude range: Provides amplitude range of 50g peak.
Sensitivity: 100mV/g or 10.2mV/m/s² (±5%).
Design Features: Designed to meet the requirements of the American Petroleum Institute Standard 670 Accelerometers in a shear ceramic crystal package, protected by a stainless steel case seal for use in harsh industrial environments.
Cable Configuration: Available with 16710-04 cable, 3 conductor shielded 22 AWG (0.5 mm²) armoured cable with 3 socket plug at one end and terminal block at the other, in selectable lengths from 0.9 metres minimum to 30 metres maximum.
2. BENTLY 330425
Amplitude range: Provides an amplitude range of 75g peak, providing a larger measurement range compared to the 330400.
Sensitivity: 25mV/g or 2.5mV/m/s² (±5%).
Design features: similar to the 330400, but offers a higher measurement range and different sensitivities to meet the needs of different application scenarios.

The two sensors are closer in the main performance parameters, including but not limited to:

Bias current: 2 mA nominal value
Output bias voltage: -8.5±0.5 Vdc
Frequency Response: 10 Hz to 15 kHz (600 cpm to 900,000 cpm) ±3 dB; 30 Hz to 10 kHz (1800 cpm to 600,000 cpm) ±10 per cent
Temperature sensitivity: -11% to +3% typical over operating temperature range
Operating and Storage Temperature: -55°C to +121°C (-67°F to +250°F)
Impact resistance: 49,050m/s² (5000g) peak, maximum
Relative humidity: 100% condensing, non-submerged, case sealed
Application and Installation
Application Scenario: The two sensors are mainly used to measure the acceleration vibration of machine housing, such as gear meshing frequency, paddle passing frequency, etc. They are usually mounted on the bearing housing.
Installation features: the sensor top outlet to connect the signal cable, three-pin connector is easy to install and remove the cable, through the bottom of the 1/4-28 mounting screw holes to meet different installation needs.
