INTRODUCTION

The 3500/45 Position Monitor is a 4-channel instrument that accepts input from proximity transducers, Rotary Position Transducers (RPTs), DC Linear Variable Differential Transformers (DC LVDTs), AC Linear Variable Differential Transformers (AC LVDTs), and rotary potentiometers. The monitor conditions the input and compares the conditioned signals with user-programmable alarms.

You can program each channel using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software to perform the following functions:

· Axial (thrust) Position 

· Differential Expansion 

· Standard Single Ramp Differential Expansion 

· Non-standard Single Ramp Differential Expansion 

· Dual Ramp Differential Expansion 

· Complementary Differential Expansion 

· Case Expansion 

· Valve Position

Multi-Channel Design:

The 3500/45 Position Monitor is a 4-channel instrument that accepts input data from a wide range of sensors, including proximity sensors, rotary position transducers (RPTs), DC linear variable differential transformers (DC LVDTs), and AC linear variable differential transformers (AC LVDTs).

Signal Processing Capability:

The unit conditions the input signals and compares the conditioned signals with user-programmable signals and alarms for accurate monitoring of machine operating conditions.

Programming Flexibility:

The 3500 Rack Configuration Software allows the user to programme each channel to perform different monitoring tasks such as axial (thrust) position monitoring, differential expansion monitoring (including standard single slope, non-standard single slope and dual slope expansion), complementary differential expansion, enclosure expansion and valve position monitoring.

Displays and Alarms:

The machine is equipped with front panel LED indicators to show the machine's operating status and alarm messages, ensuring that the operator is kept up to date with the machine's operating condition.

Mechanical Safety:

The position monitor is designed with mechanical safety in mind to protect both the machine and the operator.

Temperature Adaptability:

Signal adjustment can be made at 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit) to ensure stable operation of the equipment under different temperature conditions.

l For Valve Position using RPT, you must have 3500 Configuration Software 3.00 or greater.
