Recently, a Qatar-based ship "Aldafna" loaded with 260,000 cubic meters of LNG (liquefied natural gas) docked at the wharf of petrochina Tangshan LNG Receiving Station in Caofeidian Port Area of Tangshan Port, Hebei Province, which is the 472nd ship to be unloaded in the 10 years since the LNG terminal was put into operation in 2013. At present, the total storage capacity of the LNG storage tank at the receiving station is at a high level, and the high-load heating mode has been officially opened for 5 months, with the maximum daily export volume reaching 42 million cubic meters, ensuring that the winter heating season "can receive the ship, store the liquid and transport the gas".


"In the face of the tight balance between natural gas supply and demand this winter and next spring, we have continued to expand resource channels and formed a diversified and interconnected resource security system of domestic gas, imported pipeline gas, imported LNG, and gas storage tanks (groups). The annual gas supply accounts for more than 60% of the total natural gas consumption in the country." China Petroleum and natural gas Sales Company related business person introduced.

According to reports, the China Petroleum and Natural Gas Sales Company regards the work of thermal protection as a major people's livelihood project and the people's heart project, and has formulated a graded supply plan that is divided into regions, pipelines and detailed to users. Focus on key periods such as "394" in major northern heating cities, as well as the livelihood of key industries such as urban fuel, gas power generation, and CNG, to ensure that the bottom line of livelihood gas security is maintained under the tight supply of resources. Strengthen the energy supply guarantee for users of "coal to gas", especially for the gas demand in the affected areas of Zhuozhou, Hebei, in this winter and spring heating season, the resource preparation increased by 13% year-on-year, more than 100 million cubic meters, and tested nearly 4,000 kilometers of gas pipeline network, with pipeline natural gas, LNG, CNG and other gas sources, to fully ensure the warmth of Zhuozhou and surrounding areas.


"At present, we are in a critical period for the start of the winter supply guarantee, and we will do a good job in the heating season of natural gas supply this winter and next spring, and use practical actions to fulfill the solemn commitment of 'ensuring the warm winter of the people'." Meanwhile, there's good news from the gas reservoir. On November 9, the gas injection volume of China National Petroleum gas storage has reached 17.14 billion cubic meters, an increase of 1.57 billion cubic meters year-on-year, exceeding the target of gas injection this year, and saving enough "confidence" for natural gas supply this winter and next spring.

Gas storage is the mainstay of peak regulation and supply of natural gas in winter, and plays an important role. In order to strengthen the work of "full storage" of gas storage reservoir, CNPC organizes all oil and gas field enterprises to closely track the production and operation dynamics of gas storage reservoir and the progress of injection and production test of pilot test reservoir in accordance with the operation mode of "annual plan, monthly adjustment and daily scheduling", and tracks and evaluates the storage capacity, inventory and remaining gas injection capacity of each gas storage reservoir through dynamic monitoring and testing. Optimize and adjust the gas injection operation plan in time to ensure that the operation indicators are completed as planned.


At present, CNPC has a total of 13 gas storage units in service and 8 gas storage units under construction. Since the beginning of the year, in strict accordance with the national annual list of major projects, petrochina has made concerted efforts in the construction of old and new gas storage reservoirs, and orderly promoted the production, pressure and expansion projects of Dazhangtuo in Dagang Oilfield, Hutubi in Xinjiang Oilfield, Xiangguosi in Southwest Oil and Gas Field, Jing 58 in North China Oil and Gas Field and Suqiao in North China Oil and Gas Field, as well as the Tongluo Gorge and Huangcaoxia in Southwest oil and Gas field. Construction of Nanpu No. 1 gas storage in Jidong Oilfield. Before the heating season, Shuangtaizi gas storage in Liaohe Oilfield, Kekeya Oil field, Wen23 in Huabei Oil Field and Wenxi I in Tuha Oil Field were fully completed and put into operation, and the peak supply protection capacity increased by 30 million cubic meters/day, an increase of 20%, adding new strength to the winter gas supply protection work.

CNPC Intelligent Operation Center gives full play to the core functions of operation monitoring and dispatching command, develops a balanced plan for natural gas production and sales on a rolling basis, adopts measures to increase gas production in gas storage and increase LNG gasification export volume, and comprehensively guarantees the demand for natural gas for people's livelihood.
