ABB CR-M4LS Logical socket for 2c/o or 4c/o CR-M relay

The ABB CR-M4LS is a well-designed logic socket that plays a key role in electrical control, mainly for miniature relays of the CR-M series, especially those with 4 changeover contacts (4 c/o), i.e. of the single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) type. Design and construction

Compact Form Factor: The CR-M4LS has a very compact form factor, with a net width of 27mm, a net height of 61mm, a net depth/length of 82mm and a net weight of only 0.066kg. This size makes it easy to install in electrical control cabinets where space is limited, without taking up too much space, and facilitates the compact layout of electrical systems.

Terminals: The socket adopts screw connection terminals, which are extremely common in industrial applications and are characterised by solid connection and high reliability. In the actual wiring process, technicians can tighten the screws to firmly fix the wires on the terminals, effectively avoiding poor contact due to vibration, loosening and other reasons, ensuring the stability of the electrical connection and guaranteeing the reliable operation of the system.

Material selection: In terms of material, CR-M4LS is made of high quality materials, from the shell to the internal conductive parts, all of which have been strictly screened. The shell material has good insulating properties, which can effectively prevent electric shock accidents, and at the same time has a certain degree of mechanical strength, which can withstand minor collisions and friction in daily use. In practice, it can effectively isolate circuits with different potentials, prevent leakage and short-circuit phenomena from occurring, and guarantee the safe operation of the electrical system. For example, in complex industrial environments, even in the presence of electromagnetic interference and other unfavourable factors, the CR-M4LS ensures that the work of the relay will not be affected by its good insulation performance.

Connectivity: In terms of connectivity, the socket excels under UL/CSA standards. For main circuit connection, it can be connected to 2 x 20 - 16AWG flexible conductors with lugs, 2 x 20 - 14AWG rigid conductors, or 2 x 20 - 14AWG stranded conductors. Application Scenarios

Industrial automated production lines: In automated production lines, CR-M4LS can be used to connect various types of sensors and actuators. For example, when the sensor detects the position and quantity of products on the production line, the signal will be transmitted to CR-M relay through CR-M4LS, and the relay will control the actuator according to the signal, such as starting and stopping the motor and the running speed of the conveyor belt, etc., so as to realise the automation of the production line, and to improve the production efficiency and the quality of products.

Intelligent Building Control System: In intelligent buildings, it can be used to connect the control circuits of lighting system, air conditioning system, access control system and other equipment. For example, through the CR-M4LS and CR-M relay, it can achieve the functions of timer switching control of lighting fixtures and automatic adjustment of lighting brightness according to the ambient brightness; in the air conditioning system, it can control the start and stop of the air conditioning compressor according to the signals from the indoor temperature sensors, so as to achieve the dual purposes of energy saving and comfort.

Power control system: CR-M4LS is also widely used in the low-voltage control circuit of power system. For example, it is used in substations to control the opening and closing operations of small circuit breakers and contactors to ensure the normal operation and fault protection of the power system.
