China's sewage discharge continues to grow

According to the "Urban Construction Statistical Yearbook" data of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China, 2011-2019 China's sewage discharge increased year by year, in 2019 China's urban sewage discharge was 55.5 billion tons, county sewage discharge was 10.2 billion tons, village sewage discharge was 21.6 billion tons, a total of 87.3 billion tons, China's sewage treatment work is urgent; According to preliminary estimates, China's urban sewage discharge in 2020 will be 58.8 billion tons, county sewage discharge will be 10.5 billion tons, and rural sewage discharge will be 23.3 billion tons, totaling 92.6 billion tons.

The amount of sewage treated in China is on the rise

In recent years, the amount of sewage treated in both urban and rural areas has been on the rise. In 2019, China's urban sewage treatment capacity was 63.26 billion cubic meters. A total of 2,899 black and smelly water bodies were detected in built-up areas of cities at prefecture level and above, of which 2,513 have been treated to eliminate black and smelly water, accounting for 86.7%. According to preliminary estimates, China's urban sewage treatment capacity will be about 65.64 billion cubic meters in 2020.

As China's rural areas strengthen the construction of sewage treatment, the overall sewage treatment capacity continues to rise, 2015-2019, the national rural sewage treatment capacity has increased year by year, and in 2019, it was 9.44 billion cubic meters. According to the fact of shutdown and production during the epidemic in 2020, it is preliminarily estimated that the national rural sewage treatment capacity will be about 10.92 billion cubic meters in 2020.

With the rapid development of China's environmental protection industry, the scale of the sewage treatment market will continue to expand in a long period of time, and the demand for market-oriented services in the sewage treatment industry will gradually become prominent.
