Infrastructure innovation capacity has been enhanced
Zheng Jian introduced that the scale advantage of China's infrastructure is prominent. By the end of 2021, the total length of China's comprehensive transportation network will exceed 6 million kilometers, the total length of 220 kilovolt or above transmission lines will reach 794,000 kilometers, and the total length of optical cable lines will reach 54.81 million kilometers, 1.3 times, 1.7 times and 3.7 times of that of 10 years ago, respectively. The total storage capacity of reservoirs will reach 903.5 billion cubic meters, forming a super-large-scale network. The scale of high-speed rail, expressways, power grids and 4G networks has long been ranked first in the world.
From the perspective of service quality, Zheng Jian said that high-speed railways cover more than 95% of cities with a population of more than one million, expressways cover more than 98% of cities with a population of more than 200,000, civil transport airports cover about 92% of prefecture-level cities, established villages with conditions have access to hardened roads, broadband and direct postal services, and the rural tap water penetration rate has increased to about 84%. The penetration rate of 4G and 5G users reached about 87 percent. By the end of 2021, the number of mobile phone users and the number of Internet users will reach 1.64 billion and 1.03 billion respectively, which is equivalent to 1.7 times and 2 times of 10 years ago.
"The level of infrastructure engineering construction and technological innovation is constantly improving." Zheng Jian said that China's infrastructure innovation driving capacity has been significantly enhanced. High-speed railways, long-span Bridges, ultra-high voltage power transmission, third-generation nuclear power, ultra-large water conservancy projects, a new generation of mobile communications, industrial Internet and other fields have achieved leapfrog development, and construction technologies such as offshore deep-water ports and large-scale airport projects have entered the world's advanced or leading ranks.

The layout of artificial intelligence infrastructure was accelerated, the scale of data centers reached 5.9 million standard racks, and the construction of eight national computing hub nodes was started. A national civil space infrastructure system consisting of satellite remote sensing, satellite communication and broadcasting, and Beidou navigation and positioning systems has been initially established.
In the field of converged infrastructure, Zhang Zhihua mentioned that smart facilities are entering thousands of industries. For example, the construction of three-dimensional intelligent transportation systems is accelerating, new forms of transportation such as unmanned docks and autonomous driving are constantly emerging, and more than 90% of airports have achieved "paperless" convenient travel.
"Innovation infrastructure is optimized at a faster pace."
