Even for some high-end chemical projects with advanced technical equipment and process flow, it is also about "changing" color. Some people even think that it is better not to bring about the development of chemical projects, but also to ensure that the industrial ecology is spotless. The idea of "throwing the baby out with the bathwater" is not to practice the concept of green development in the true sense, but to give up food for fear of choking. Too one-sided, and totally unnecessary.

From the perspective of the distribution and division of labor of the national economy, the chemical industry is both a basic industry and a pillar industry, which is not only closely related to People's Daily life and many industries, but also plays an important "ballast" role in stable economic growth and promoting development. Just imagine, if the chemical industry is "cut across the board" everywhere, human beings will not be able to guarantee normal food, clothing, housing and transportation.

From the perspective of the development status and future trends of the industry, the chemical industry is indispensable, but the problem cannot be avoided. In recent years, with the solid advancement of capacity reduction, a large number of backward chemical equipment has been shut down and eliminated, but the structural contradictions of China's chemical industry are still prominent, mainly reflected in the excess capacity of bulk basic chemicals and general materials, while high-performance materials and high-end chemicals are still short. In addition, although some old processes and old devices have been environmentally friendly, the level of energy consumption and pollution discharge is still in the state of "running standard", and it is necessary to continue to increase investment in environmental protection.

Although these practical problems are prominent, they are not completely unsolvable. In the context of high-quality development, we can "make up for the shortage and go beyond the surplus" through structural adjustment, process improvement and technological innovation, constantly optimize the development level of the chemical industry, and achieve green, low-carbon and efficient transformation.

In addition, the chemical industry has a long chain, many product types and a wide range of fields, and cluster development is the key direction, which can not only optimize the allocation of resources, but also better realize the circular development within the park.
