From June 1 to 2, 2023, SINOPEC successfully held reverse roadshow activities for investors in the whole industrial chain business in Yangzhou and Nanjing. More than 100 investors, analysts and media reporters formed a research group to visit the production line of Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fiber, East China Oil and Gas, Jinling Petrochemical, Yangzi Petrochemical, Jiangsu Petroleum and other five enterprises, to learn about Sinopec's achievements in integration and collaborative efficiency, transformation and development, scientific and technological innovation and environmental protection.

On June 1, the reverse roadshow activity kicked off in Yizheng Chemical Fiber. At the meeting, Yizheng Chemical Fiber introduced the situation of accelerating the "five transformation" and creating "two bases" with PPT, data and charts. Then, the research group walked into Yizheng Chemical fiber Factory and visited the exhibition hall of scientific and technological achievements of the company. And the PTA project site with an annual output of 3 million tons is under construction.

As a derivative of petroleum, PTA (refined terephthalic acid) connects the two major industries of petrochemical and chemical fiber textile, and is an important part of the aromatic industry chain. As one of the important bulk organic raw materials, PTA can be further processed into polyester fiber, film, plastic products, etc., which is closely related to people's clothing, food, housing and transportation. In recent years, with the progress of science and technology and application development, new polyester products extended by PTA are increasingly widely used in life and health, energy conversion, aerospace, intelligent induction and other fields.

Yizheng Chemical Fiber PTA project with an annual output of 3 million tons is the first set of PTA project with an annual output of 3 million tons of Sinopec, which is an important step for Sinopec to strengthen the aromatic industry chain, expand high-end new materials, and accelerate the construction of "one base, two wings and three new" industrial pattern, and is included in the supervision project of the Sinopec Board of Directors and the key project of Sinopec. The project meets the requirements of the Jiangsu provincial government on improving the industrial chain and strengthening the chain, and is included in the list of major projects in Jiangsu Province in 2021.

Yizheng Chemical fiber annual output of 3 million tons PTA project adopts advanced energy saving and environmental protection and short process technology route, with the advantages of large scale single equipment, green and low carbon. On the one hand, it is conducive to the implementation of the existing two sets of PTA devices of Yizheng Chemical fiber to "free the cage and change the bird", achieve green and low-carbon development, enhance the supporting capacity of Yizheng chemical fiber polyester raw materials, and accelerate the follow-up smart fiber, biodegradable plastics and other new material projects; On the other hand, it is conducive to Sinopec to play the advantages of refining and chemical integration, strengthen and optimize the aromatic industry chain, accelerate the expansion of high-end chemical new materials, and meet the new needs of consumers for a better life.
