Since the beginning of this year, the situation of mine safety in China has been generally stable. From January to February, there were 25 mining accidents and 40 deaths, down 46.8 percent and 43.7 percent, respectively, according to the Ministry of Emergency Management.

"However, the situation in mine production safety is still grim and complex, facing risks and challenges brought by continued high prices of mineral products, relatively concentrated resumption of work and production, increasingly serious major disasters, and tight continuation of mining and excavation." Zhang Xin, deputy director of the National Mine Safety Administration, said that the recent series of accidents in Guizhou, Yunnan and other places have exposed that some regions and enterprises do not have a strong concept of safety development, weak awareness of the rule of law, repeated violations of laws and regulations, the implementation of the main responsibility of enterprises is not in place, the safety foundation is weak, and the supervision and supervision capacity is insufficient. In this regard, the State Administration of Mine Safety Supervision requires that all levels of mine safety supervision and supervision departments should comprehensively use interview exposure, accountability, execution convergence, joint punishment and other means to punish and form a strong deterrent for all types of violations found.

Accelerate the promotion of "Internet plus regulation"

Since 2016, the number of underground coal mine operators in the country has decreased by a total of 370,000 people, the number of intelligent mining faces in the country has reached 813, and the intelligent violation control system has been applied in many coal mines. These cannot be separated from the national mine safety supervision department in recent years to accelerate the advancement of mine safety science and technology and the construction of intelligent information technology in coal mines.

According to Wang Duanwu, director of the Science and Technology Department of the National Mine Safety Administration, in order to continue to improve the level of mine safety security, the National mine Safety Administration adheres to the four aspects of "management, equipment, quality and system" and deeply promotes the construction of a standardized management system for coal mine safety production.

According to reports, in order to accelerate the practical application of "Internet + supervision" in the field of mine safety, the construction of "electronic seals" in coal mines and the monitoring and analysis of electricity consumption index are currently being promoted to provide technical support for strictly preventing illegal and illegal organization production behaviors. In order to accelerate the application of information systems, a "daily report, weekly notification and monthly supervision" mechanism has been established for risk analysis and research.
