An inverter unit includes the components needed to control a motor. These components include one or more inverter modules connected in parallel, as well as the necessary auxiliary equipment such as control circuits, fuses, cables and switches.

The ACS800-107 inverter unit has a power range of 1.5 to 5600 kW. The inverter modules used in the ACS800-107 inverter unit have form factors from R2i to R8i. In a power range of approximately 500kW, the inverter unit uses only one inverter module; In higher power inverter units, multiple R8i modules are connected in parallel.

In all inverter modules used in the ACS800-107 inverter unit, the circuit board is standard as a coated board.

Cabinet system

The inverter unit has a combined cabinet structure. Examples of cabinet configurations are described below in the chapter on Dimensions. The direction of the motor cable can be either top or bottom out - see the description of the modules for each form factor below for details.

Cooling Each inverter module has one or a group of cooling fans. The control cabinet may have additional cooling fans.

The inverter cabinet has an air inlet in the lower part of the cabinet door, and the air outlet is in the top plate of the cabinet. The air intake can be optionally located on the bottom of the cabinet, which adds 130 mm (5.12 ") to the 600 mm (23.62 ") depth of the standard cabinet.

The motor (output) cable is connected to the bolt of the terminal at the bottom of the module with a metal cover. The module has a built-in RMIO board (motor control and I/O board), the RMIO board includes standard I/O ports and is optional for installation

An optional AGPS board can be installed in the R2i to R5i modules for false start prevention.

A motor cable outlet is provided at the bottom or top of the cabinet.
