Core functional advantages

1. High energy density and stable discharge ensure the continuous operation of equipment

Using highly active lithium manganese batteries, the energy density can reach 280Wh/kg, which is about three times higher than traditional alkaline batteries (such as LR6). It can provide more durable power support in the same volume. The battery discharge curve is stable, and there is little voltage fluctuation throughout the entire service life (no significant voltage drop during the process of dropping from 3.0V to 2.0V), which can ensure the measurement accuracy and data stability of precision equipment such as counters and sensors, and avoid equipment false alarms or data deviations caused by voltage fluctuations.

2. Wide temperature range, suitable for extreme industrial environments

Specially designed for extreme high and low temperature environments in industrial sites, it can work normally in low-temperature cold storage rooms at -40 ℃, high-altitude cold regions, or high-temperature production workshops and equipment cabins at 60 ℃, without the need for additional insulation or heat dissipation measures. In a low-temperature environment of -40 ℃, the battery can still maintain over 70% of its rated capacity, meeting the power supply needs of special scenarios such as oil drilling platforms and polar scientific research equipment, and solving the pain point of traditional battery low-temperature performance degradation.

3. Long storage life and low self discharge, reducing operation and maintenance costs

Adopting a low self discharge cell formula and sealing process, the annual self discharge rate at 25 ℃ is ≤ 2%, and the storage life is up to 10 years, which is much better than traditional alkaline batteries (usually with a storage life of 2-3 years). For backup power scenarios (such as emergency power supply for equipment), the battery replacement cycle can be significantly extended, reducing the inspection and replacement workload of operation and maintenance personnel, and lowering the operation and maintenance costs of industrial equipment.

4. Industrial grade safety design to avoid safety risks

The shell is made of thickened nickel plated steel, with a compressive strength of ≥ 500N, which can resist slight vibrations and impacts in industrial sites; Built in overcurrent protection, anti short circuit and leakage prevention devices. When an external short circuit or overcurrent occurs, the battery will automatically cut off the discharge circuit to avoid the risk of heating, bulging or leakage. Through UN38.3 transportation safety certification, it can meet the safety requirements of various transportation modes such as international aviation and sea transportation, and the use and transportation process are safe and reliable.

5. Precise adaptation, compatible with ABB equipment and standard interfaces

The size strictly follows the 1/2 AA specification standard and can directly adapt to the battery holder of ABB's LS series sensors, DO814 I/O module backup power supply, ICSF08D1 high-speed counter backup power supply and other equipment without additional modification. Simultaneously compatible with other brands of industrial instruments and meters using 1/2 AA battery holders, with strong universality, providing users with flexible power solutions.

Applicable scenarios and typical applications

LS14250 lithium battery, with its industrial grade performance and high reliability, is widely used in ABB equipment and various industrial scenarios for power supply needs. Typical applications include:

1. ABB industrial equipment main power supply: provides main power supply for ABB LS series photoelectric sensors, proximity switches and other equipment without external power supply, suitable for production lines, storage shelves and other scenarios where wiring is inconvenient, avoiding increased construction costs caused by complex wiring.

2. Backup power supply for industrial control equipment: As an emergency backup power supply for ABB DO814 I/O system, ICSF08D1 high-speed counter, CM10 process controller and other equipment, when the main power supply is interrupted, the power supply is immediately switched to ensure that internal data (such as counting data and configuration parameters) of the equipment is not lost, providing guarantee for equipment restart and data recovery.

3. Power supply for precision instruments: Provides low-power continuous power supply for industrial pressure transmitters, temperature recorders, flow meters and other precision equipment. Its stable discharge performance ensures the accuracy of instrument measurement data, and its wide temperature characteristics are suitable for various industrial measurement environments.

4. Power supply for extreme environmental equipment: Used for outdoor monitoring equipment in the petrochemical industry, positioning sensors in underground mines, temperature trackers in cold chain logistics, and other equipment in extreme environments, providing stable power supply under high and low temperature, high vibration, and other working conditions.

5. Power supply for emergency and security equipment: The backup power supply for infrared detectors, emergency alarm devices, and other equipment in industrial security systems ensures that the equipment can still work normally in case of emergencies, enhancing the security capabilities of industrial scenes.

Key points for installation and use

1. Installation specifications

-Polarity confirmation: Before installation, it is necessary to confirm that the battery polarity is consistent with the device battery holder label (positive pole corresponds to "+", negative pole corresponds to "-"), to avoid reverse connection causing damage to the device circuit or battery short circuit.

-Cleaning contact points: Before installation, check the metal contact points of the equipment battery holder. If there is oxidation, dust, or oil stains, use a dry cotton swab dipped in alcohol to gently wipe them clean to ensure good conductivity between the battery and the contact points, and avoid power interruption caused by poor contact.

-Sealing protection: When installing in humid and dusty environments such as food processing workshops and mines, it is necessary to ensure that the sealing cover of the equipment battery compartment is tightened. If necessary, waterproof sealant should be applied to the sealing area to prevent water vapor and dust from entering the battery compartment and causing battery leakage or contact point corrosion.

2. Precautions for use

-Prohibited from charging: This battery is a disposable lithium manganese battery. Attempting to charge it is strictly prohibited as it may cause the battery to swell, leak, or even explode. When using it, it should be strictly distinguished from rechargeable lithium batteries (such as 18650).

-Avoid short circuit: It is forbidden to directly connect the positive and negative poles of the battery with metal wires, and avoid mixing the battery with metal objects such as keys and coins to prevent short circuit faults.

-Temperature control: Although the battery supports wide temperature operation, long-term use in high temperature environments above 60 ℃ should be avoided as much as possible. High temperature will accelerate battery capacity decay and shorten the service life; When storing, it should be placed in a dry environment at around 25 ℃, avoiding direct sunlight or near heat sources such as radiators and equipment heating elements.

-Timing of replacement: When the device displays a "low battery" alarm or experiences a decrease in measurement accuracy, frequent data interruption, etc., the battery should be replaced in a timely manner; For backup power scenarios, it is recommended to follow the replacement cycle of "80% of storage life" (such as every 8 years in a 25 ℃ environment) to avoid emergency power supply failure caused by battery failure.

Replacement and environmental treatment

1. Battery replacement

When replacing the battery, it is necessary to first turn off the device power (if supported by the device), open the battery compartment cover, and gently remove the old battery with insulated tweezers or fingers to avoid using metal tools to forcefully pry and cause damage to the battery case and leakage of liquid; After installing the new battery, confirm that the polarity is correct, then tighten the battery compartment cover, and finally start the device and check if the device is working properly.

2. Disposal of waste batteries

This battery belongs to hazardous waste and contains lithium metal components. It is strictly prohibited to dispose of or mix it with household waste at will. The replaced waste batteries should be placed in a dedicated recycling bin for industrial hazardous waste, or handed over to ABB authorized service providers or battery recycling institutions designated by local environmental protection departments for disposal, in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Solid Waste Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China, and practicing the concept of green environmental protection.
