GE IC698PSA350 Power module
The IC698PSA350 is a PACSystems power module produced by GE Fanuc for the RX7i series. The module provides +5 VDC, +12 VDC, and -12 VDC power supplies. In addition, it sends a logic level ordering signal to a module on the backplane. The module is inserted into slot 0 in the host frame.
The power output of the IC698PSA350 module may lose one AC input line cycle while maintaining the output power. In addition to electronic short circuit protection, overcurrent and overvoltage fault protection is also provided. The module allows for a total output power of 100 watts at ambient temperatures of 0 to 60ºC without forced air cooling.
The output voltage is as follows: +5 VDC output to 60 amps, +12 VDC output to 12 amps, -12 VDC output to 4 amps.
More notable features of the IC698PSA350 module include operating in the range of 85 to 264 VAC or 100 to 150 VDC. The module is equipped with AC operation power factor correction and a simple slide-in rack mount structure.
The two-position on/off logic level switch is located on the front panel. It enables or disables the output channel and does not interfere with the AC line input. Important warning: There is a fatal voltage in the module when the input power is present.
The green LED indicator on the IC698PSA350 module monitors the site and output status. They will turn on when the power supply is within an acceptable range and the DC output channel is working properly. A red LED specific to this module will alert the user if the critical power supply temperature is too high or if there is a problem with airflow.
