PACSystems RX7i is the first programmable automation controller (PAC) in the PACSystems family of GE's intelligent platform. Based on a standard embedded open architecture, it aims to provide integrated solutions for mid to high end applications of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), system integrators, and end-users, helping to improve performance, productivity, and overall profitability, thereby gaining sustainable competitive advantages.

The bandwidth provided by the VME64 backplane is four times that of the existing Series 90-70 system.
The CPU is equipped with 10/100 Ethernet and connected to dual RJ-45 ports through an automatic sensing switch, eliminating the need for additional inter rack switches or hubs.
Up to 64MB of memory, capable of quickly executing programs and storing complete programs and all documents (including Excel, Word, PDF, and DXF files).
Supports object-oriented programming in IEC languages including C, enabling the development of high-speed applications based on standards.
Integrate Control Memory Xchange to achieve high-speed global memory sharing through fiber optic networks, like a network drive that can be viewed and shared by all devices.

Efficient productivity
Using Proficy Machine Edition to achieve a unified environment for configuring, programming, debugging, and maintaining applications.
The same tool can be used for control, view, and motion program development.
The system management function provides version control, secure access, and audit tracking.
Can embed Proficy Historian or other tools that typically require separate computer operation to achieve maximum productivity.
