IT infrastructure refers to a collection of IT hardware resources and basic software resources used to support the IT environment of governments, enterprises and individuals with special needs, including computing resources, storage resources, network resources, and the underlying software to realize virtualization and manage servers. Depending on the deployment environment, IT infrastructure can be divided into traditional IT infrastructure and cloud infrastructure. The infrastructure deployed in the non-cloud environment is the traditional IT infrastructure, which mainly consists of three layers: network layer, computing layer and storage layer, such as network devices, servers, storage devices, operating systems, databases, etc. The infrastructure deployed in the cloud computing environment is cloud infrastructure, which includes public cloud infrastructure, private cloud infrastructure and hybrid cloud infrastructure, but at present, public cloud infrastructure and private cloud infrastructure are the main.

2. Industrial chain analysis

In 2020, due to the impact of the novel coronavirus epidemic, China's total IT spending in 2020 increased by a smaller amount, with the total spending reaching about 2.87 trillion yuan, an increase of 0.98% over 2019. According to Gartner's preliminary statistics, China's total IT infrastructure spending in 2021 will be about 3.09 trillion yuan.

From the perspective of expenditure scale, in China's IT expenditure, communication service expenditure accounts for the highest proportion, followed by equipment expenditure, and software expenditure accounts for the smallest proportion. From the perspective of the expenditure proportion trend, from 2017 to 2021, the proportion of communication services equipment expenditure declined year by year, and the proportion of equipment expenditure also showed a trend of fluctuation decline, while the proportion of IT services, data center systems and software expenditure increased year by year.

The rapid development of the Internet has made everything digitized, the amount of data and the amount of computing has exploded exponentially. In recent years, the market demand for China's IT infrastructure has continued to expand, and the market size of IT infrastructure has grown significantly. From 2014 to 2021, the market size of China's IT infrastructure continues to grow.
